I’ve heard Paxton’s arm is looking really good in practice. He practices good practice habits and his practice paid off by practically throwing two perfect passes. One unfortunately was dropped by someone who didn’t practice well that week.

Fulmer believes Pruitt is a good coach and will it turn it around here. More importantly, thinks Pruitt's better than the current pool of coaches that are available.

Again, yes there are bad fits everywhere. Jeremy Pruitt is a bad fit. And he is a bad coach. There is no argument to make that he deserves to be here any longer, especially when you factor in all of the behind the scenes issues/topics.

Would you keep him another year if your felt it meant you could get the right guy next year? Or would you fire him if you thought it was 50/50 you get a good fit?

I'm just laying out my opinion on why we aren't seeing movement on the coaching front. And given the scenario I laid out a very good case can be made for waiting.

The real question is are we dragging our get for the scenario I laid out above or is Fulmer just digging in? We don't have those answers.

The people in charge don't have the balls to do but the reaction to Freeze being hired would be a once in a lifetime.

Fans around the conference would immediately start screaming cheaters... and feel worried.

National media runs every rumor mill story they can going back to high school.

Freeze immediately starts making fun of Auburns coaching search... and tells Mullen to just come clean... It will feel better.

Starts joking with Kiffin about dividing up the SEC east and west.

Talks so much about how he's not here for second place that Kirby starts to suck his thumb.

Best of all... He would win. A lot.

But, we have a Pruitt.

I don't think Freeze would win a lot unless he hires a good DC...the offense would get better eventually under him though...come to think if it, putting him and Mason together would definitely work I think.

I didn't realize Venables made 2.4 million. It would take 10 million to walk away from a job he has been at for 9 years plus has sophomore and Freshman sons playing.

Also, he's at a place that gives him an opportunity to be in the playoffs every year. The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence

No, because its not worth it due to recruiting. Waiting one more year means 2 average classes and we have seen how far behind that puts the team.
