This job isn't sought after because we show no leadership and we aren't serious about winning. Put Charles Davis or Mark Ingram in that role and give them a mandate to bring in a proven winner and an 8 digit checkbook and watch what happens. The more I read and read between the lines, the more this is about Phillip Fulmer trying to get what Phillip Fulmer wants. That would be great if Fulmer had good judgement on hiring coaches. Unfortunately, that's never been his strong suit.

WE don't like losing...but evidently a lot of folks that matter don't care about winning, or rather they don't care if it is not done "their" way..

Tbh I've never really thought about it like that until now. We have awesome facilities. The MOST passionate fans. Tradition like few others. Hell we can even recruit pretty well. The tools are there to win.

But no decent coach wants to be involved with the circus up top. It's a damn soap opera.

Just putting things into perspective!..Fulmer was 100% content with letting Rick Barnes Walk until Boyd Stepped in! That tells me all I need to know about Fulmer as acting AD.f*** Fulmer.Hes worried about his legacy that was built by Johnny and it’s going to end with him being thrown out with the door locked behind him.

Yes but that's his opinion... yes, the pool of options may not be elite... but I'd damn well take several other coaches who'd want to be here and give it 100% than what JP has been putting on the field... that's what it comes down to... do you want a repeat of this season, or the CHANCE to get better with someone else? Because we all know if JP is retained, it will be more of the same dysfunction junction next season... maybe even worse because we'd miss out on a ton of recruits that would maybe be willing to sign on to a new regime... If this is all JP can get now, he's not getting any higher-tier recruits.

I don't think those money people are all that interested in just giving away $20--$30 million bucks right now. Buy out an old staff, bring in a new staff is pretty costly when most business are suffering. Now, if it's just pocket change it probably would have already been done.

Yep, UT football died the day Kiffin walked out on us. We haven't tried to compete since. Some will say UT football died at halftime of the 2001 SEC championship game. We really haven't done much since.

So, Kiffin needs to be hired back to close the portal of hell that opened in 2009 when he left?
