Why do these stories only come out when we want a coach fired? His first couple of years it's always he's great, way better than the douche of a coach we had before...then all the reports this coach is as douchey as the last one.

I get that everybody is mad and wants him gone. But some on here starting to sound like a scorned 5th grade girl.

I've been saying that about Pruitt since the day he was hired. He is a pompous ******* who thinks he's the toughest and smartest guy in every room.

Any signs of this to me ended at EoY 3 with regression, not progression.

But if he’s the coach next year, which we can’t control, and starts winning games the excitement will return. As a fan base we control our emotions about as well as the cast of any of the Real Housewives shows.

I’d honestly love to see us fire Pruitt and promote Tee to HC, I’ve watched him on the sidelines, he’s a leader... the guys respect him and I think he’d let Chaney call plays without throwing in some gimmick **** at the most in opportune times. I think he’s a guy others would love to play and work with. That is what we need

I like Tee, however IMO, what we need is a PROVEN head coach who can compete in the SEC.

I personally am done with experimental "up and comers".

I know one of the chefs that has worked at UT during the past three years and he stated he couldn’t stand Pruitt bc he talked down to him like that poster is describing.

This guy my ex girlfriend met on tinder told her the same thing, always talking chit about his biscuits, says cornbread or gtfo.

I had to occasionally work along side Pruitt during his first two years at UT. I had read that he was a USDA Grade A Jerk, and I saw that to be true. He likes to bully people he perceives are beneath him. When he's angry it's F this F that. Several of his assistants didn't like him. Almost all of them are gone. Two just flat left at the end of one season. They didn't like him or respect him. Since assistant coaches talk like gossipy women at the country club, I don't think the better assistants around the SEC who can get a job elsewhere will come to Tennessee to work for Pruitt. That's what happened to Butch in his final season at UT. Those who think Pruitt will figure out how to be a successful head coach, if given enough time and money, are just fooling themselves. He has a three-year record that proves he is incompetent. But if he stays at UT and eventually loses his stench, he's still an incompetent POS.

Given what Butch did to UT, going to Bama to be an intern, milking buyout money, taking pictures with cigars in Neyland while the players he recruited on the other sideline got beat, etc.....

I think it’s pretty clear everything about Butch was correct. He is a POS.

I disagree, I think he would have done just as well as Pruitt, Butch and Dooley. I also think our fan base would support a true vol thru is growth process.

We were warned about him when he was announced. I heard some things about Butch and Dooley, mainly that Dooley was just kind of goofy and that Butch wears thin on people after a while but nothing like we heard about Pruitt. We were actually warned he was a grade a horses arse up front. We just chose not to believe it.

Oh...he probably would have done just as well. But do you really want to rinse/repeat our past decade?

If we are going to make the move, my point is, pony up the cash and at least go after a proven P5 winner (which I pray they are doing behind the scenes now).
