So insiders here saying he’s safe after saying he’s gone. Insiders on tos saying he’s gone. Some say safe. TB saying he’s gone. Hubbs and the like using “as of right now” language. Nobody knows squat. Just might as well wait until we see a post from Bruce Feldman. I’m still hoping things are coming after Christmas
Don't forget about Gruden coming here. He doesn't look happy in his current position :):)

It’s just freaking amazing that 3-7 wasn’t enough to get him fired. I said over and over that he’d be back no matter what but I was angry with my university and hopefully wrong.
I can’t believe they’re as incompetent as angry Slice thinks they are.
Vol fans ordered lobster rolls, but all we keep getting are sh** sandwiches.

In the transfer portal, 14 and counting:

Jarrett Guarantano - QB
Kasim Hill - QB
JT Shrout - QB
Jordan Allen - TE
Jackson Lowe - TE
Brandon Johnson - WR
Austin Pope - TE
Isaiah Montgomery - WR
Jarious Abercrombie - OT
Savion Williams - SDE
Ethan Rinke - WDE
Kivon Bennett - OLB
Nyles Gaddy - OLB
Baylen Buchanan - CB
Exactly two players I would consider keeping... Shrout is a big loss and Kivon... maybe Brandon too

Come on man. Not you too?

Where were all the Fulmer bashers when we were winning 10+, and SEC's? Then again when he was hired as AD?

All the man has done is give his all for Tennessee. I think we'll be fine.

It appears that Fulmer is giving his all for Fulmer. He was an average HC without Cut. Fulmer to AD looked good on paper but it appears that he took advantage of the chaos to elevate himself. It's not looking so good now.

@Atlanta VOL how quickly does a coaching change need to happen to keep our great 21 in state class from looking elsewhere? or will it hurt? i remember you saying that was pruitts saving grace at one point. Thanks for all you do and Happy Holidays Volnation!!!

I really can't believe I'm doing this but @BruinVol by your definition I'm a booster because I bought season tickets and made a donation back in 2010, but we all know the difference between being a booster and being a Booster, AV has never said he personally has paid or given benefits to recruits, he has said that he loans out planes to the university and boosters and I believe he has piloted for some of the Big B boosters and thus how he is privy to some of the information he brings. Or as my buddy use to say back when I was doing business I no longer do, business I am not proud of being in AV is in logistics lol.

For all the AV defenders here do you think he’s lying here???

Here’s what a booster is:

It only takes one of these and you are a booster

  • Provided a donation in order to obtain season tickets for any sport at the university.
  • Participated in or has been a member of an organization promoting the university’s athletics programs.
  • Made financial contributions to the athletic department or to a university booster organization.
  • Arranged for or provided employment for enrolled student-athletes.
  • Assisted or has been requested by university staff to assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
  • Assisted in providing benefits to enrolled student athletes or their families.
  • Been involved otherwise in promoting university athletics.

IDGAF if he's a booster or not. I think we just want a competent coaching staff and an administration that's dedicated to winning football. At present, it appears that we have neither.

THIS POST ALL DAY LONG
Fulmer was the good ole boy lazy hire and none of this is surprising. He basically stabbed Majors in the back imo to get the football job. So the notion that he’s a good ole yuk yuk guy that would not meddle is just not the case. I loved him as a coach. But he and Pruitt need to go. Blackburn and Freeze should be here as fast as possible.

as I told him in the op I don’t think he understands what a booster is

He said he wasn’t a booster. That’s a lie unless all his post here has been done as a fraud

Keep in mind being a booster isn’t a bad thing. I’m a booster as well.

Let me put it to you this way. If Tesla offered you 500K a year salary and 500K in stock options and on the flip side Boeing (once traded at over 350 a share and now at 217 with potential more free fall) offered you 500K a year salary and 500K in stock options....which offer do you think you would take?

So you’re saying I should buy more TSLA? Don’t have to tell me twice 😉

So jumping on here real quick----------

Let me get this straight- We have a current coach that sucks ass as a head coach, but is a great coordinator and is currently in over his head and knows it... We have an AD that sucks ass as a AD, but is/was a very good head coach and is in over his head.... ??? Miss anything?

The choice and math is simple--- we either keep what we have with both and continue to flounder and fall deeper into the ditch..... OR, we hit the reset button, get rid of both (thanking them for trying like hell on their way out), and find the right combo that puts us in a position to finally RISE....

Just F'n DEWIT.

I didn't renew my tickets for this coming season and if this keeps up and I don't renew again next year because of this BS, my wife is going to find a reason and justification to spend that money on something else I don't like....

Other SEC fan bases laugh at Tennessee fans for supporting a dead program while living in 98.

Everybody supporting Fulmer because he happened to be running things back in the glory days, you are proving them right.

"Fulmer should be in charge because he's the only one who cares about winning". "Fulmer should be the AD because he is the only one who cares about UT football." It is silliness.

If you can't come up with a reason to support Phil that has nothing to do with his coaching career, you are stuck in the past. That was 12 years ago for Christ's sake.

Jmo

I liked Fulmer as AD because he was big enough to tell the Haslam’s that they don’t just run the AD. I still think that’s the case. Maybe Fulmer has become a problem too, but it appeared the Haslam’s were getting their way and making terrible decisions. For that, he should be praised.

Just amazes me that we have people who don’t let their own hires make their own decisions in their jobs. That’s why you pay people- to do their job. For all of those, if that includes Fulmer, need to go. Good leaders empower the people under them to let them work and do their jobs productively.
