How did we go from "this weekend is important for him to not get blown out"

To getting blown out. 3-7. 6 straight double digit losses.

And they now hinge it all on this investigstion?!? Look at the on-field failure!!!

Simple - they were never going to make a move, anyway, no matter what. Our admin doesn’t actually care about football that much.

I’ve come to terms with that over the last couple of days. Even if he’s fired, they won’t hire who we want. Just won’t happen.

If Chaney could be turned loose (if that's the issue) and the offense takes off, it would be absolutely perfect. Wouldn't ever have to worry about him leaving for another job when successful like Joe Brady
Cheney’s offense is archaic expect 5 wins max next year with this **** staff

The offensive woes have not been due to Chaney. Chaney can coach offense. He has a proven past. Pruitt can coach defense, I have no doubt, which is why he needs to stay away from the offensive side of the ball. Pruitts issues probably go even deeper too though, he just doesn't know how to manage a team (players and coaches both)

Here is the issue.....not a single good coach that would make the fanbase happy will come work for Fulmer. All of the rumors about how he acts as the head coach still have not only gotten around but have been confirmed by the current staff and those things travel very fast. I am quite close with a few big name coaches that are no longer coaching and based on their opinion ...no well known coach will want to work for PF.

That's really embarrassing for Phil. Way to ruin your legacy dude

I don’t understand how coaches who have been so successful at previous stops, even HC, come here and do so poorly? Do they forget how to coach? Is the pressure too much? Is it because the level of competition is harder? Or is UT just a place where once successful coaches come to die?
Who are you talking about?
Kiffin? Fired by raiders, Fired by USC
Dooley? Losing record at that jr high we got him from.
Butch? Took over winning teams from previous HC and didn’t stay long enough to prove he could sustain it, and nothing close to SEC level.
Pruitt? Most risk of any , 0 HC experience ever.
So I ask again, who are these that have been so successful elsewhere that you refer to??

And what if I told you that Tesla was willing to give you a signing bonus regardless of where you decided to choose to go and that the day before signing Tesla reached back out and said hey we know what Boeing offered you and we are willing to go to 700k or match anything else Boeing throws your way. Oh and the whole time this is going on the Boeing stock value continues to drop. This is the type of thing we are up against.
That is one hell of an example to explain it but I follow

This was my greatest fear when Fulmer became AD.

I liked Fulmer as AD because he was big enough to tell the Haslam’s that they don’t just run the AD. I still think that’s the case. Maybe Fulmer has become a problem too, but it appeared the Haslam’s were getting their way and making terrible decisions. For that, he should be praised.

Just amazes me that we have people who don’t let their own hires make their own decisions in their jobs. That’s why you pay people- to do their job. For all of those, if that includes Fulmer, need to go. Good leaders empower the people under them to let them work and do their jobs productively.
Not if he’s making dumb as kinda mistakes
