Yep sadly I feel like Fulmer's a bit hard headed too. And the other admin around him are letting him do his job.

I honestly feel like the worst thing we could have done was hire Fulmer at AD especially given the circumstances around it. Would have been nice to have taken more time with that hire and I still wonder where the program would be if we had hired David Blackburn instead.

You mean by withholding their money? If that's what your talking about, I personally will not spend another dollar until I see a coach/team that proves they are worthy of my money. I refuse to buy in to any coach blindly unless they have a proven track record of winning. Maronne doesn't check that box for me. Neither does Steele. I've said it before and I'll say it again UT has taken the most loyal fan base in college football for granted. It will never change until fans say enough is enough. When they start having to give tickets away to get a decent crowd in there, it may bring them to their senses. As long as fans buy into the whatever **** salad of the day they serve up, nothing will change.

Well you maybe right, I am just saying what would happen if the parties were sane and logical. But if we have learned nothing in the past year the world is anything but sane and logical. In this situation, barring Hughe vilolations of the Freeze proportions, I think Pruitt will be back.

We are not going to pound people into submission if Bama doesn't even do it. They adapted and are this year's version of last year's LSU. Great, wide open O with adequate D. That's how its done. If Steele comes in some capacity it is likely to help build an adequate D against those kind of O's since he has been doing it for years. It takes an explosive O for winning at a high level today. Mac Jones has the arm to get it done, but most importantly, the brain to process what he saw and get it done. Just like Burrow (who is better and more mobile), they process what they see quickly and know where the key guys will be.

We are not going to out athlete Bama, LSU, UGA, UF, and aTm anytime soon no matter the system. So we win more by out scheming the average team and become more competitive against the better ones until the roster and system are completely built. Freeze ain't happening. Chadwell can bring the O that is unique and adaptable to current passing schemes over time as the roster improves. Some of the motion Sark was using last night to get WR's open on the edge works with RB's and WR's in Chadwell's scheme. With Hooker and Salter they will have two guys that can run it and will be happy to see it. Study what he does more and your eyes may open about it.

Let's do this. Going retread will mean more of the same and being dependent on quality coordinator hires on both sides of the ball instead of just one side. I could see Herman if he's humbled himself some. Unless there is an unknown out there willing to. jump into this mess, there's just not a lot out there that brings the exciting O with the ability to also excite the recruits in the living room other than Chadwell IMO.

I don’t get the people who can’t see this, and turn their nose up at Freeze, Napier, or Chadwell. Freeze has won everywhere he’s been, and frankly, I’m tired of the pearl-clutching. We loved Bruce Pearl even though he was banging everyone but his wife. Everyone knew Kiffin was the same. Put a morality clause in that contract, make it real consequential, and if he signs it, then you know Freeze is pretty sincere. If not, move on down the list.

Napier has been around winning programs and has beat Matt Campbell with G5 team. He built a winning culture and has a lot of P5 experience. He puts up points.

Chadwell is the AP Coach of the Year. Every stop at every program he has built a winning culture. His offense is innovative and adaptable. He also put up points with a freshman qb. Their “running offense” probably put up more passing yards than ours.

Two of these guys were born in TN. Two of them grew up as UT fans. None of them are likely to start a sentence with “Well, at Alabama we had...”

Instead, here we are...

He coached for fulmer 1 year and we categorize all he’s accomplished in two decades sense as just “fulmers buddy”

talk about lazy and ineptitude. That’s exactly what that kind of thinking is on anyone’s part that can’t see 20 years

I'm with you. I hope that doesn't happen. But I wouldn't put it past some of the crazies in our fanbase. It it happens the administration should be blamed for not addressing them at any point in this process. They keep letting this stuff fester.

They sell this as our program, yet time after time we get a product that most of us were never interested in seeing. I know fans shouldn't get to hire the coach. But feel like they would do well to pay attention to what's working in college football right now in our conference and try to get us in the game.

I can’t even hate Alabama at this point. They used to have players and coaches you loved to hate. Now in latest run they have had some really good professional kids that are rare dynamic playmakers that make big plays. Then when they talk they aren’t thugs and just flat out good kids having fun with coaches putting them in position to have fun. Now UGA and Florida I can’t stand. They play dirty or just flat out unprofessional and I hate seeing them succeed.

Which brings me to TN, I don’t like feeling that we have unprofessional admin, boosters and staff while having a great group of kids that work their butt off and deserve better such as a system that makes it easy for them to meet potential

I think we're going to end up settling no matter what. Whether it's a Fulmer buddy like Marrone or Steele, or an up-and-comer like Chadwell (who IMO has not shown enough), we're going to settle for less than we should be able to achieve. Whether it's Fulmer, or the boosters, or our dysfunctional admin, the good coaches don't want to deal with this ****. Those are the things preventing us from climbing out of this hell we've fallen into. We have everything else a coach could want. It's the dysfunction behind the scenes that is killing us.

There are better coaches out there, Freeze among them, but we won't chase after them. The powers-that-be are idiots.
