Well you maybe right, I am just saying what would happen if the parties were sane and logical. But if we have learned nothing in the past year the world is anything but sane and logical. In this situation, barring Hughe vilolations of the Freeze proportions, I think Pruitt will be back.

Maybe, maybe not.. We'll just have to resign ourselves to enjoying the sh!t show until "official" word is released.. Whatever that is these days..

I have wondered lately what he is doing and if he has any plans to return to coaching whether it is college or NFL. Seems too good of a coach to not coach

You mean by withholding their money? If that's what your talking about, I personally will not spend another dollar until I see a coach/team that proves they are worthy of my money. I refuse to buy in to any coach blindly unless they have a proven track record of winning. Maronne doesn't check that box for me. Neither does Steele. I've said it before and I'll say it again UT has taken the most loyal fan base in college football for granted. It will never change until fans say enough is enough. When they start having to give tickets away to get a decent crowd in there, it may bring them to their senses. As long as fans buy into the whatever **** salad of the day they serve up, nothing will change.

Make them put black curtains over the upper deck. It really is what they deserve for all the bad hires that've been made these last 15 years. But like you said, we're a loyal fanbase, so it'll never happen. People will show up no matter what, and they know that. That's why they don't care about winning.

I’ve always equated him to Darrell Royal/John Wooden in demeanor and approach. He put everything into his coaching and teaching, but when he was done...it was done.

What I don't understand is if Fulmer isn't making the hire why in the hell is someone like Marrone even being mentioned for the job?

Do our Boosters really want this guy? Is the admin Boyd and Plowman pushing his name?

People saying Fulmer isn't making the hire are running cover for him. It's a case of him "recommending" who to hire and Boyd and/or Plowman hiring that person. Fulmer's fingerprints will be all over it.

That’s what I found. BS guy followed to UW then something something Denver Broncos, then something something Frank Reich then something something Jacoby Brissett. Didn’t read a lot, just skimmed a few articles and didn’t find that he was a bully in Miami or put up inappropriate slides at a coaching clinic, so I kept it moving.

I don’t get the people who can’t see this, and turn their nose up at Freeze, Napier, or Chadwell. Freeze has won everywhere he’s been, and frankly, I’m tired of the pearl-clutching. We loved Bruce Pearl even though he was banging everyone but his wife. Everyone knew Kiffin was the same. Put a morality clause in that contract, make it real consequential, and if he signs it, then you know Freeze is pretty sincere. If not, move on down the list.

Napier has been around winning programs and has beat Matt Campbell with G5 team. He built a winning culture and has a lot of P5 experience. He puts up points.

Chadwell is the AP Coach of the Year. Every stop at every program he has built a winning culture. His offense is innovative and adaptable. He also put up points with a freshman qb. Their “running offense” probably put up more passing yards than ours.

Two of these guys were born in TN. Two of them grew up at UT fans. None of them are likely to start a sentence with “Well, at Alabama we had...”

Instead, here we are...

Someone apparently likes him. He would've been the hire if the deal with Butch fell through. That was pre AD Fulmer.

Some of them won't be given the chance. Players have to meet with compliance before they're officially entered into the portal and they're informed of the risk they assume. A lot of guys are going to find themselves without a spot or forced to go somewhere they really don't want.

If this guy is hired and it isn't Fulmer, then it's the only guy the decision makers can reach 'majority' opinion on.
