I'd still love to see them roll out Gus and Steele follow him to UT...if we're going to take a retread at least get one with a SEC title to his name.

But after watching Coastal play a few games I'm completely fine with giving Chadwell his shot if you're looking for the "next big thing" he may be the guy, I'm shocked he's not had more opportunities at this level to coach. I think it may just be he wants to be a HC and wasn't willing to take lesser positions just to get a G5 or P5 gig.

He put up stats, but that doesn't change the fact that he wouldn't up those stats in the SEC. Coastal Carolina looked like a service academy.

I'm too jealous of Bama to truly hate them atm. They have what I wish we did. Their admin, boosters, etc., they all care about winning football. I wish our admin and boosters displayed that kind of loyalty to fans. But they don't. It makes me sick to my stomach to admit, but I admire Bama and what they've done. Pardon me while I go wretch.

So we would hire a coach with no experience at this level to come up with a new game plan he has never used before. If we can't do better, we should roll with Pruitt and get our house in order and make a respectable hire.

Not my job to hire a coach. Too many dynamics in place. As usual because of our ineptitude, our choices will be limited. You basically can hire any coach you want, including urban Meyer. Everyone has a price. But having said that, Maronne and Steele do not move the needle for me. While Maronne may be a good coach (his record says otherwise), I don't see him being a dynamic recruiter, something we need.

Now I'm not delusional enough to think we'd pay what it takes to hire an Urban Meyer nor do I think we should. My point is that we have everything in place to be a national power so why do we find ourselves where we are? We don't have a head coach that's worth a dam. We have people problems at the upper levels of the UT administration. Everyone says "No decent coach will come here!" Well if that's the case, find out why and fix it. Hiring these questionable coaches, these gambles have proven time and time again that they don't work. Hell, we could have paid Urban for what we've spent on coaches the last 10 years. We've had 2 coaches on the payroll about continuously for the last decade.

A few years ago I had someone from my church come by wanting a commitment from me for my years tithing. The church had hired one of those fund raising companies to help increase the coffers. I told him I wasn't participating in that and if they'd concentrate on the message the church was conveying they wouldn't have to worry about the money aspect. Same with TENNESSEE football.

68.8% 2488 passing yards 26 TDs 3 INTs
And McCall put up those numbers while finishing 36th in completions (172) and 51st in attempts (250)

As a team they averaged 231.5 passing yards per game (60th in the country), over 26 more than we did. But also averaged 218.3 rushing yards per game (15th in the country) which is over 76 yards more than we did. Finished 25th overall in total offense at 449.8 yards a game. Craziest part, they did it while finishing 90th in plays ran at 67.1 a game

Well, we the fans also put A LOT of money in the University's pocket. Its not just boosters that make this train go. When I've personally invested probably $40,000+ over the last 10 years, yeah I expect a better ROI.

I'm not saying the admin should let "fans" make a decision, but sh!t, at least let them have a small influence. Obviously, whatever the hell they've been doing over the last decade isn't working.

I'm not stating numbers to toot my own horn, but those thousands add up when youre not putting a product on the field thats worth a damn. Next year I'm not renewing. I already pay Comcast $200 a month watch our faces get pounded in. Why would we pay thousands just to be there?
