We have had average recruiting by SEC standards. Good enough though, with SOLID coaching it should've definitely got the ball rolling. The problem all along has been terrible decision making from those "adults in the room".

We need to be like bama ONLY in their focus, dedication and work ethic, from boosters all the way down to assistant trainer.. If you're not on board and puliing in the same direction, GTFO..

It absolutely starts at the top with doing what's in the best interest of the PROGRAM, not yourself or your best buddy......

That’s basically everything I’ve said in this thread today. I’m also not saying I want Marrone to be the guy, just that I see ways that it would be possible for him to succeed if he does get the job.

you are looking at overall records and not tying them to any kind of context what so ever. so here I’ll play along.

4-2 bowl games
4 conference titles.

Better winning % than: Fleck, Leach, sarkisian, pat fitzgerald, Herm Edwards, Narduzzi, Chadwell, Tom Allen, cut life, cristobal...... etc.

LSU has 3 nattys this century with 3 different coaches. Saban had 1

Syracuse has 2 conference titles this century and Marrone has one of them .

Right. This is what i was saying earlier. Steele wanted the auburn head coaching job bad. He never tried to move on and land a DC job..... i don’t think it’s out of the question that he’s just coming here to basically hangout and survey the landscape. Chip long did the same thing essentially. Fulmer is obviously tight with him and it’s a win win for both of them no matter who the coach is.
