We're the losers, but yet we're the ones that want Pruitt gone. Last time I checked 3-7 wasn't winning. Gtfo lame ass mf. Make sure you don't ever use my name in a post again unless you @ me, loser.

Already on it:

Charles Davis
David Blackburn
Mark Ingram

Should never get past those 3

AD is more than just football.
Order would be
Ingram
Blackburn but he’s been blackballed but should be called
Love Davis and think he could run football and be a GM but need to know more as far as AD. But he would be better than what we have now.

Still have zero reason to change my prediction.

Pruitt was never gonna be fired right after the interview. The people they hired will consult with the AD and determine the best solution going forward. I think that is still Pruitt being axed. Now granted, if Monday comes and goes and Pruitt is still not fired then the university has failed everyone. Is what it is.
Monday shall come and pass with Pruitt still around. Sucks.

either way, if we had just adequate qb play the past 3 years...not great...not even really good...just adequate........the whole perception of this program is different than it is right now.

the OL was a big disappointment. WR was an UNK going in to the season, and w/out improvement at QB, would we ever know what we had at WR.

QB was an issue as soon as the 2019 season ended. it was widely accepted around here that it was imperative that the QB room have a great off season, and really have a competition with jg, shrout, maurer and bailey.

well, none of that happened, and the qb wasn't better at all. just the same.
Honest question. these coaches KNEW what they had in JG. He is unpredictable when the lights come on. Why not have a plan to replace him? I understand Covid ruined alot of that but you still had an opportunity to get a new QB ready for the season during fall camp.

This is a worn out excuse. We got a lot worse as the season went on. There’s no excuse for it
did we though?

do we remember exactly how that USCe game went for us? w/out a pick 6 and a muffed punt to end the game....we might be 2-8. if Mizzou had figured out the QB on the bench was better than the guy they trotted out in our game, do you think we beat THAT mizzou team?

i'm glad we won both of those games, but i don't recall everyone talking about how bad azz we were at the time. there was hope. there was opportunity....but at best, i think 'cautiously optimistic' was the tone....there were warts. and no one....no one...was confident that the QB spot was good enough yet. he was not good in the USCe game, he was better against Mizzou...but no one was talking about JG being good.

As just a general fan of basketball it's alright I guess. I don't see how anyone could be a fan of any specific team.

"Got tickets tonight. Hope our three best players don't dechde to just sit out for no reason."

"We were last place last year. Hope 3 random super stars decide to turn us into -400 favorites to win the championship this year."

Like I don't understand how the Lakers can celebrate a title last year. Y'all are going to celebrate because two players randomly decided they wanted to win the championship in LA and y'all supplied the jersies? Lame.
Then you're going to love CFB one-time transfers. Even worse than the pros who can at least sign rookies to 2+ years. Now it will be...play/sit just 1 year...then go to X school vying for a title.

damn 1-9 if we would have played USC and Mizz later

Wow. That’s surprising. Put me on the 40% side.

I feel like I am one of the Russians watching Rocky Balboa take shot after shot. I hated him when this fight started but after seeing how hard he’s fighting to make this place a winner I have been won over. Just like the crowd with Rocky in Russia that movie.

I also remember this board going crazy over Hubbs saying Pruitt didn’t care about this job and he’d just go back to bama and be happy. Well he damn sure is showing that narrative was false!
I don't think Pruitt wanted to fail. Even if he said the things he was alleged to have said about going back to Bama, pride alone would have prevented him from wanting to fail. But none of that changes that he has failed miserably thus far. And when it comes down to it, I'm a Vol fan, not a Pruitt fan. I admire his tenacity, but I think it best for UT to move in another direction. Unfortunately for us, I doubt our admin picks the right direction. I told you before, you can respect someone without being a "fan". Pruitt has some admirable qualities. He tries, and I think he cares, but none of that changes what we've seen. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I don't know about you, but I'm ready to switch roads and find a better destination.

lol.

err'body forgets #2. now it's the "scheme's" fault.

jeez. our qb play was soooooooooooo abysmal....we had a qb that in each of the seasons he's played here, has given up a 100 yard turnover for a score. ever year. 3 times.

who does that? our QB situation was directly responsible for at least 4 or 5 games being losses.....

but it's the scheme? ok. there's plenty of things you can criticize the coaches for in regards to the QB and the issues it presented.

but to say if we ran some other scheme, the result would be different...is laughable.

A better QB and the ability to open things up will make a difference-- how much, TBD. This endless controversy and hatred originated with Pruitt's blind allegiance to JG and snowballed with the losing. Factor in the investigation and fans clamoring for Freeze, and it became an avalanche.

JG giftwrapping the game to UK and Pruitt's tone deafness tipped the scale.

1. It affected everyone in the world, some handled it better than others. We handled it worse than most, that is inexcusable.

2. The impact on spring/summer/fall workouts would have made more sense if we had started out rough, but then improved. The exact opposite was true.

3. The worst aspects of our team on field were a 5th year senior QB, and starting OL made up mostly of upperclassmen. -

These are facts.

Agree completely. A direct result of incompetent coaching.

100 percent chance that Pruitt seriously mismanages the QB position next season, too. He has no idea what he is doing.

well, i think that's part of the criticism that can be valid. i'll keep banging the drum about how the off season negatively affected qb development, cause i believe that was a really big deal. that doesn't mean that had we had a regular off season, they'd of gotten THAT much better.

but not having one, guaranteed it.

that said, once we got past the UGA game, and in to the UK game, it was pretty obvious the QB was not good, and a reason we weren't competing. they started the sunday scrimmages...maybe it was too late by then. either way, they could have done almost anything with the QB's and gotten to 3-7....so there was no real benefit to sticking with JG. and doing so for as long as they did is a fair criticism.....

Not only that, but shrout has been in the program for a few years. Word out of camp is he looked good. When jg crapped the bed, JT should have been given real opportunities.
