I'd say all of those minus Campbell you'd have a
chance at getting if you're willing to pay. Kiffin won 10 at 2 different schools. One with a gutted roster at usc. Funny you want to cherry pick this year as only winning 5 when they only played 10 in an all sec schedule. If they had their cupcakes they would have won 8. This looks a lot better than what we've done over the last 10 years. 🤷‍♂️

Oh and BTW, who put up the most points this year on the team EVERYONE in the sec is chasing?

There's bad defenses and then there are bad defenses. This past years defense was one rung above the Sunseri defense. He's never had to field a defense with average talent. His success has been built on the backs of five star players. That's ok if you can recruit at that level but he can't do that at TN.

truth is our defense this year wasn’t that “bad” compared to much of the SEC.

Wilcox is the best DC at UT since ‘98-‘99 Chavis.

Maybe.... I wouldn’t want to come here if I had plenty of opportunities with the kind of support that our admin gives but the fact is none of those guys are guaranteed success.... your list includes three coaches that have been fired for not being productive at their schools.

And I certainly don’t think he’s gonna save the day, just that he brings the ability to escape pressure - something we always hated on JG for.

My hope is HB or KSalt take reigns in camp and we don’t look back, but it’s good to have depth and competition.


Edit: Also, another way to look at this is he played in 8 games this season. So he was responsible for 18 TDs in 8 games.

We only scored 27 touchdowns as a team this year I believe.

Yeah I probably should have said ‘01 Chavis for sure, maybe ‘05 Chavis. I do think Slade and weak secondary recruiting/development is a big reason why we were 11-2 East champs instead of 13-0 national champs in 2001, and why 3rd and Chavis became a thing. Another example of Fulmer sticking with a guy wayyy longer than he should have.
