I was so happy when Butch and Dooley were fired. I’m not going to be happy if Pruitt is. It’s weird.
I feel Pruitt is getting the shaft a little bit but I’m not sure about him as a coach.... if we are getting rid of him..... I pray that we make a solid choice.

If they don't have Freeze, Herman, Chadwell, or someone that will light a fire already on the hook... slap JP on the pee pee and let's roll for 2021 with the hope he can turn it around.. gives you 11 months to have "Freeze, Herman, Chadwell, or someone that will light a fire" if things don't improve.. keeping JP > year long intern
Would love Herman or Chadwell. Really hope we have Texas’d this thing and not TN’d it

The year long interim thing is stupid and hopefully wouldn't be considered. It would kill recruiting and what coaches are going to sign up for a one year deal in our the open spots we have?

Why? There’s no getting around it for Pruitt and if he does then someone has done a criminal act.

Exactly.

He either gets fired for a show cause or he remains as our HC unless he walks out on his own because the administration won’t fire him for underperforming at his job.

Pick your poison.

If anything at all is true about what’s been said previously Plowman wants a model coach for Tennessee.

Freeze, Chadwell, and possibly Herman are already out.

The NCAA has been looped in. They've had full circle meetings with in-house counsel, outside counsel, compliance, admin and NCAA reps. Pruitt is on record, has been questioned by everyone with his own counsel present, and there aren't any surprises left to find unless they backtrack, which seems highly unlikely.
So, there's nothing there that incriminates Pruitt?

You were never all in on them like you were jermy.
I always liked Pruitt. I met him there at media days and he took a picture with my kids and was just a good dude. I like him and really wanted him to be the guy. Somewhere I guess I’m still not convinced he could never turn it around. But, at the end of the day, his record, especially against the big 3, is really bad

not to be that guy bass but guys are transferring to Tennessee to play under Steele. How many are transferring to play for Pruitt and players allegedly love to play for him. Not to mention the guys that hit the portal whether or not he was fired.

One guy has transferred to play “under Steele” so far

Exactly, if he’s given even a little out Fulmer stands in for him and says those coaches acted alone and Pruitt is innocent.

Cut the head off and get moving toward a great hire hopefully.

It's because you, and all of us, have been battered.

Pruitt is a terrible head coach, so him being fired sounds like a positive development for the program, but we all know what ensues after that.

I never like to see someone be fired. I get so caught up in my fandom that I tend to forget that’s a person as well but gotta do what you gotta do.
They are very highly compensated and will be fine. We aren't talking about removing a guy making $40k/year living paycheck to paycheck here.

How do you know he’s more competent? His record at Baylor suggests otherwise
Baylor was a trainwreck when Steele got there. Don’t think their lack of success was all on him. The admin has to be accountable also and committed to providing resources to build a winning football program. Football was an afterthought at Baylor back then.
