I think it will be Ingram or Gilbert. Friday is real possibility, no later than Monday. They want a new coach in place by first week of February. I’m hearing they are willing to pay 5.5-8 million per year around 5-6 years for the right guy. They want a sitting HC w power 5 experience. If they get to a certain place then I believe Steele will get the job but it won’t be for lack of trying. I believe they will get their guy if the pay i hear is correct. They can’t afford any embarrassment and they understand that.

WTF...are we supposed to be happy “they tried”? There is no way to spin it if you end up on Steele it is an absolute embarrassment.

For the flight tracking posts - Kiffin built a very nice abode in Boca Raton when he was with FAU. As of the spring of last year he did not have a home in Oxford, he was in rental accommodations. So let's fuel some rumors. K-town to B'ham to Palm Beach means Ingram/Kiffin.

Need to add to my posting. Dare we guess who is flying the plane?

Calling AV, over...

Its fun to do this, but if ut learned their lesson from the last coaching search they have the tail number blocked and we will never know.
Most “important” people have everything blocked. I would imagine they avoid Knoxville as much as possible too. No one’s walking through TAC Air until they land right before a press conference.

It sure is fun to speculate though.

If they are speed-hiring the AD then they are going to hurry on the coach.

If they were going to name Steele as HC I don't think they would be in a rush to get the AD this week. There's no reason.
But there is, they have to change the narrative, a long drawn out search for both positions. Have to get in front. The speed may have nothing to do with where we're going.

How many examples you basing this on?
Everyone I have seen..... I have asked several times when this has worked..... the only person gave me ole miss, penn state... and Baylor when all three of schools fought it.... lied about it.... and tried everything they could to get out of it...... do you have examples of it working?

He did buy a house on Pickwick Lake right on the TN line last year, too.

So essentially, what Bob is saying is....it's gonna be Steele.

Big fan of josh.

But. He can STFU.

A little tip for people wanting to defend UT right now. Just say, ‘Penn State covered up child rape.’ We have done NOTHING equivalent to that. We. Will. Be. Fine.
Really puts it into perspective. Tho there wasn’t a transfer portal back then

Imagine quitting being a hip thing. That’s what participation trophy has gotten us. Quitting is not only normal, it’s the IT thing to do
Dude, if your company is going down in flames, you wouldn't look for employment elsewhere? This is not taking their ball and going home, this is making a logical decision about what's best for their future. Leaving does not equal quitting.

Yeah. As far as not using Knox though, im not sure what other airport they would use. But I agree they're not going to let anyone know until they want them to know.
