I like Ingram but UAB was coming back with or without him. It was basically back before he even got there. Ingram was my favorite but the more I look at White, the more I like him.my AD preferences:
Danny White UCF - Outsider and has proved he can build programs (football and other)
Mark Ingram UAB - Has resurrected the UAB football program but can he do the same for other programs
Jon Gilbert ECU - Familiarity with UT but not impressed with tenure with Dave Hart.
What are your choices.?
None of those “worked”. All got hammered. There’s a reason no one gave you the name of a school that did it “like we did”.Everyone I have seen..... I have asked several times when this has worked..... the only person gave me ole miss, penn state... and Baylor when all three of schools fought it.... lied about it.... and tried everything they could to get out of it...... do you have examples of it working?
Just a reminder that FU money only guarantees the ceiling of the offer. It will not, nor never, guarantee interested candidates based on a variety of different conditions including administration and administrative support, ncaa penalties, opportunity cost of waiting for a different opening, personal and family opinions, etc. We could offer $40M/5yr as a max to multiple candidates and end up with Steele anyway (but for far less financial obligation than the FU money ponied up).
Hopefully that’s not the case, but having FU money doesn’t guarantee results. Just makes the odds better.
Lulz. Some of our previous administrators were probably flying Allegiant out of Chattanooga I’m sure.

Missouri is the latest example to contrary..... they complied turned it over bc an advisor did some work for kids thinking they would get it easier.... they were pissed bc the NCAA hit them hard for the offense committed while auburn buys a national championship with cam newton and got nothing.None of those “worked”. All got hammered. There’s a reason no one gave you the name of a school that did it “like we did”.
