Okay, let’s do a logic game like the last couple of days: I have two questions regarding Campbell.

1) Why would he take this job over bigger openings?

2) He will probably get an NFL job in a couple years so why make this move now?

The committ we just took is out of UF. Went to American Heritage out of High School..... If we are making in roads in UF im thinking its Frost.

If Kiffin would of had any resemblance of a defense this past year he would of won more games than he did. His defense killed him.

We have the players to have a good defense. With Kiffins offense Tennessee would be immediately better.

Kiffin would actually utilize our TEs and WRs properly. Getting Velus and Hyatt in space.

Agree with this, but the question is, would he get us to the area of 10-2,11-1, or 12-0 in a reasonable time. What I mean is the elite in the SEC and competing for a national title (again).

You sure about that? I mean he's never won 10 games in a season. Kiffin has 2 10 win seasons. I mean Campbell at Iowa state looks like an average to above average coach. This is not a guy you throw 7 to 8 million at. Won 9 games once in 5 years. Don't get me wrong he's a good coach, but some of yall act like he's the best thing out there and worth a truck load of money. Just not true.

I know “cuck” is the insult du jour, but that’s the first word that pops into my head when I read these Kiffin-or-bust posts. He royally f**ked this University once, and he won’t hesitate to do it again. Yet some fans would welcome him back with open arms. Pathetic.

I wouldn’t think we would fly out to meet Campbell if he wasn’t at least considering. You bring Peyton and a few other legends along to sell the deal.

And? He did that first year in the sec west and put up more points than anyone one Bama with a bunch of transfers. Campbell won 3 in his first year. Your point? He also followed that 3 with 8, 8, 7 and 9. If he's so good then why in year 4 with all of his guys is he still only winning 7 games? He's an avg to slightly above avg coach. Not elite.

Then Kiffin should scare you too. He's had one remarkable year as a P5 coach. If you can't succeed at USC then you're not made for the big stage.

Campbell was also the reason Tim Beckham got the Illinois job then realized they bought a bag of goods as Campbell becoming OC in 2010 is when Beckham started winning at Toledo. Beckham was a disaster at Illinois.

Elliot shouldn’t be the top of anyones list but he is perhaps the hottest coordinator out there. Just because the last coordinator didn’t work out for us that doesn’t mean this one can’t.

Day, Dabo(not even a coordinator) and Riley all had zero head coaching experience.

I want a coach who will coach players up. I would be shocked if Lane Kiffin is hired here- and honestly, if he leaves Ole Miss after one season, has he really grown at all? Why would you think he wouldn't leave us for a better job?

if there's any program out there that he should leave his current job for after 1 year, it's us.

Yup, tons of research by Bill C. says defense is largely about raw talent. Ole Miss doesn't have that. But offense you can do more with less, if you're a great coach like Kiffin.
