Read a little of that ISU site. They aren't wrong in saying we haven't been relevant in 20 years. Still, when have they ever been relevant? We may be has-beens at this point, but they are never-was. We've experienced greatness. They've never tasted it. I don't blame them for being protective of the one thing they have going for them, a desirable coach. Really, that's about the only desirable thing they have.

Don’t understand the love for Fleck. Where is he proven he can recruit? No southeast ties, lackluster roster MN where has had been recruiting in his region of competence - upper Midwest.

There is zero indication this guy can recruit and no relationships in southeast.

All the lovers are blindly ignoring the terrible roster and season MN just had in year 4.

If we get Fleck after what’s been happening, we should be thrilled. A guy who won double digits at Minnesota. Freaking Minnesota. We had Pruitt who couldn’t do it.

Minnesota is arguably in the worst division of P5 football. Having a winning record or winning double digits one year there isn't that impressive. He's no scrub, but he's nothing to be excited about and definitely not worth torching the program like we did.

Edit and it looks like it was a fluke, because they were horrific this year.

With the previous guys recruits. Look where they were this year with his full roster. Smoke and mirrors and boats

Yea, but unfortunately many children get that "favorite toy" they covet so much taken away by the bulley down the street..
