Atleast the guy finds matchups, is aggressive and makes you defend everything. He makes it easy for the QB. The crapfest offense we have been watching the last couple years was a crime.

Because you were snowed by the "insiders." It is what it is. At least he has potential. If we had a different AD and we hired Heupel in 2019, we would all be super stoked. It's all perception and until we play some games that is all we have. Objectively considering the situation we are in, this was a good hire.

If Butch was regarded as anything other than a failed coach he would have been a coordinator somewhere after getting fired here, not an intern at Bama. Being a RB coach and a WR coach does not = specialist.

Butch didn't get a job because of the Title IX and rape stuff.

That completely missed the point anyways. The OP said Heupel has a better resume than any of those coaches before getting hired. Well, that's not true.

Coach A :

Conference championships won as a HC 4 out of 6, including back-to-back during his final years.

Coach B:
Conference championships won as a HC 1 out of 3, and only in his first year.

I don't want an OC, I want a HC.

Mizzou figured it out pretty damn fast...
