UT will end up paying $6MM+ in buyouts to hire UCF personnel. Just buy out the contracts of Pruitt staffers, come to terms with Tee, get signed NDAs and let the new guys have a clean slate. Cost of doing business.

Otherwise, UT is going to be dealing with bad publicity, negativity, threats of litigation and settlements for months to come. Get a fresh start, move on and try to generate some positivity around the program.
No, don't cave! It will affect us years to come.

But did we have the time to wait on the NCAA?

We could have fired Pruitt & Fulmer at any time just because we wanted to. There was no need or waiting for any of this, that's kind of the point @LA Vol has made this whole time. The only reason for the investigation and bringing all that down on us was to fire with cause, which is extremely rare and often a black-eye to do. Regardless of how messed up that is.

What's the loophole? This is very strange, but how is this different from some analyst or hedge fund person going on CNBC telling the world what they are buying or selling? Or look at guys like Cramer cheering stocks up or down
I'm talking about "on both sides".

Good suggestion. We can have someone print it out and put it on her desk. I'm sure she'll retain Glazier to investigate and dig deeper, because that would be the right way to handle it.

It's obvious that you disagree with the path she chose, but is it really necessary that we constantly caricaturize UT's leadership? That's a major part of why our fan base is considered so toxic. We polarize every person or situation as fully good or fully bad and the beat it to death. It's unhealthy. Franklin is a grand slam whale, but Heupel is just a bro hire and destined to failure. Really? Nothing is ever as good or bad as we paint it. Ever. And the sooner we collectively dial back the gain on our responses, the better off we will be. Zero chance of that though. LotM Forever!

I love Tee Martin. Met him once and he was a super nice guy. I also remember the homecoming tour he received when Butch wanted him on his initial staff. Tee chose to stay at USC and that's ok. Fans welcomed him with open arms when he finally came home. If Tee is frustrated with the situation all of his vitriol should be aimed towards Pruitt and Fulmer.

Heupel needs to have a coach that knows his system and can coach within it. Tee isn’t it. He needs someone familiar with his scheme that he trusts

Is Tee really that great of a coach? Probably more useful to programs for his recruiting ability. Agree...Heupel needs his own guy. Clean house, imo.

You really think that matters to our admin? After all, these are the same people that decided to start an internal investigation, dig up the bodies, and get the program in a bunch of NCAA trouble to try and avoid a $12mil buyout.

Sadly, I do not. Do it cleanly, get a fresh start and let the new guys do their jobs. There's no upside to pushing people's buttons, giving the media clickbait and inciting players and former players to take sides while the new staff is trying to build unity.
