I understand the hesitancy bc I have some as well. The good news is defense is really not the priority in the SEC now. Even more good news is JH has coached in this league and beat SEC teams with his offense. Most notably Bama when he was at OU. And that’s when Bama prided themselves in defense. This isn’t like Butch coming from Cincy beating up on Big East teams.I don’t disagree. It’ll be good to whip those teams again. I’m just afraid this offense doesn’t translate against playing top SEC defenses.
The way it was described to me - and again you would know better - is once the opposing secondary is able to feel confident playing man and getting physical, this offense has no response.
Nah, he is clearly a thin - skinned Karen, who feels the need to respond to every tweet that tags himIt stands to reason that if Vols social media is affecting the results of Vols athletics (recruiting, hiring, etc), he may consider engaging them to be part of his job. It would be interesting to see that if doing so could help shape it into a more positive force.
I do not think Heupel was ever bringing Lebby or Briles. Golesh is his guy. He is his own OCI don’t disagree. I’m not saying Lebby or Briles not coming means we won’t have a good offense. I’m just saying we’re on Plan B on offense already, and who knows where we’re at on the defensive side. I guess Plan B as well if you assume Steele was option #1.
What's the context to this though? Norvell has had one year. Jury is still out. Manny Diaz took over a bad situation and he started bad but now has turned it around. Overall record isn't fair. Tom Herman's record is great at Texas. Just didn't win a title. Matt Rhule would've done just fine at Baylor. Does anyone think otherwise? There's a reason he got an NFL job. Geoff Collins had to completely change the way they play football at GT. That takes time. Usually coaches moving up are taking over programs that were bad. They aren't walking in to GA, OSU, or OU situations.
The HoH faction were responsible for everything that happened from firing Fulmer up until the Schianomo, and the other faction is responsible for the Pruitt mess..Haslams catch a lot of heat, and maybe deservedly so. But they have become a bit of a boogeyman among the fanbase too. It’s possible that the Anderson faction has caused just as much damage to the program swinging back at the Haslams.
