Be careful with that, we might wind up with Shannon as our DCI'm not sure it's that black and white. From what I read, White presented Shannon to Heupel and he approved it. It was just too good a scenario to pass up. Shannon was a guy with a great resume, with great Florida ties, and his son was a linebacker on UCF's team at the time the job opened.
So it doesn't read like White forced him on Heupel, more like they had a chance to get a great DC on paper and Heupel stamped his approval on it.
Right, I wouldn't say he was "forced" to hire Shannon. But when your boss comes to you with a "recommendation," you have to take it, don't you?I'm not sure it's that black and white. He doesn’t know ish@matts42012 makes it sound like instate 22 class is going to be a big swing and miss... that sucks. This was the best instate crop in a long time.
An AD hires the HC to make the on field decisions...including coaches. This is Jerry Jones hiring Jason Garrett before Wade Phillips territory.Let me preface this with saying, I'd prefer my Head Coach choose his entire staff.
But there's some flawed logic in pretending an Athletic Director is football competent enough to hire a Head Coach, but not a Defensive Coordinator.
Again, obviously it's better for the head coach to do it, but it's not like the Gymnastics coach is finding candidates for a Defensive Coordinator.
We hired a DC yet? Any leaks?
Gotta love getting Hole’dInTheRoof’d amirite?yeah @HoleInTheRoof said "it's done"............................................. again.

The only roller coasters I don't like are those stand-up ones that have that piece between your legs. I rode one once and it left me walking funny from crushing my boys. Swore to never ride one again. It didn't scare me, it was just unpleasant, lol.The most bananas roller coaster I’ve ever been on was X2 at six flags magic mountain. The pucker factor on that thing is off the charts.
I had no clue the chairs flipped forward & backwards independently of the main chassis so I legitimately thought I was about to die the first time I was on it.
In the war room last night, Hubbs said that we’re squarely behind the 8 ball with the 22 class. Said a lot of kids want to make early decisions and we just don’t have enough time to build relationships there.@matts42012 makes it sound like instate 22 class is going to be a big swing and miss... that sucks. @Geronimo
Not much bothers me.
This bothers me.
I don't know why ... it's obvious some kinda pudding inverted bowl thing.
It's no where near as disturbing as stuff I saw on Rambo.
Then why respond if you don't... Your latest "opinion" goes along with your "opinion" that CJH offense will not work in the SEC because people who know said it won't. Just admit you pick and chose to support your passive aggressive stance towards the Vols. How is the Tee MArtin to head coach coming by the way...Lol trust me or don't, I don't give a ****.
I've heard it from enough people to know it's true.
