Money’s on CB. One thing that I was always on record disagreement wise with Pruitt (even when I was bought in) was his random position switches at disadvantageous times. Difficult to focus on getting better when you’re learning something totally different in spring practice to fall camp then get moved back during the season.
Your money should always be on Catbone.Money’s on CB. Sure didn't help our line play better either.Yeah I don't think much value exist in cross training. Let the NFL do that ish.
You get a CB you make him the best CB he can be, and that's on either side of the field. Moving him to WR then back to CB isn't helpful to him being the best CB he can be.
The fact he forced that on the OL was a pain in the ass. We may have actually had some legit LT prospects, but sending them in to play RG for a few series every game wasn't helping them develop at either position.
I blame him...he is a traitorous pig if he goes there. Not literally arguing, but I'd argue that he does hurt his NFL chances, because Bama is loaded at every position, even moreso than ever before, and it's not guaranteed he'll start (not that I'm an expert on their roster, nor am I going to do a deep dive into it ... JMO).
True, he no doubt winds up in the NFL, but if he stays and plays does he get a higher pick, than if he goes and plays some?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I do wish he'd stay, but, as you said, who can blame him.
Agreed. We are definitely to the point that we can't wait on guys to decide, again, if they want to be here. Ride with the ones that do.We definitely would have been better if some had stayed. It's going to be hard to plug all the gaps.
The oppressive negativity just sucked the joy out of it for some. And their attitudes bring down others. Some like WM and JJ were 100% happening. Others might have stayed if they'd waited for the new staff. Brooks and Brown wanted to go. Brown was always shaky, but losing Brooks stings. Those who can't reboot will weed themselves out. And we'll grind it out with what we have-- and see if we can pick up a few more transfers.
Ahh man! That live performance is so good!!!Disagree on that one (shocking, right?...there’s almost no wrong answers when it comes to music).
My favorite underrated Petty song is “Walls (Circus)”
Also, they have a recording of “I Won’t Back Down (Live at the Fillmore, San Francisco, CA 2/4/97)” that is off the charts good.
I bring this up with people all the time. The greatest guitarists have a voice that comes out, that when you hear it you know who it is.The best guitarists make their instrument sing. If you listen closely, it really is like you hear voices in the chords they strike.
Or maybe I'm just naturally crazy.
But I think my first statement is true.
The good news is that the bar is tremendously low. I don't think it's possible for them to underperform expectations next year. Our defense is going to have players next year. They just need to be coached. This defensive staff needs to instill attitude and aggressiveness. We have played tentative and afraid
