I don't see upside in dwelling on the negative. The new staff deserves a shot to show us what they can do. They didn't make this mess; they're here to clean it up. They seem committed to that. I look at the roster and I see youth and potential. I don't see the quick turnaround and fast climb that others see. The SEC is very unforgiving, and we've lost a lot of good players.
I agree on dwelling. Does none any good. I have resigned to remain neutral. I will always support the team and staff until they prove undeserving.
I think it’s unfair to make any judgement for this year and probably won’t form any strong opinions until CJH’s third year. Expect the worst, hope for the best approach.
Thanks for the insight.

Looking at the PS coaching staff, thought it was interesting even though they ran a base 4-3 defense they had a ILB and OLB coach. Wonder if Banks does the same here or if he just hires one LB coach and one ST coach.

As far as Henry T goes, Bye . I understand he could help and I know nobody wants him go to a rival but I don't like the idea of having to recruit a kid every year either. He and his parents should have had enough common sense to realize that no coach in the NCAA is a sure thing.....not even Saban. If the right chance come's along they're gone, if they don't live up too expectations they're gone, if they BREAK THE RULES AND GET CAUGHT their gone, it really is that simple. The school should be the main thing and what going there will enable them to do in the future lives and not in 3 or 4 years. So if UT isn't where he thinks he can get ahead.....BYE.....we will find somebody that wants to be here and he will be forgotten like many have been before, it's just how it works.

So, I have noticed that many of the posters who were screaming to get rid of Pruitt, irrespective of the cost, are now screaming about players transferring, NCAA sanctions and some of our new coaches.

Pruitt had to go, no doubt. I am just surprised that people are surprised it's going to be a painful transition.
Tried to tell em..🤷‍♂️

Not to support hypocrisy - but I can't help but think this emphasis on integrity is nothing more than lip service to get us through whatever sanction portion of the NCAA issues.
It better be...we are still going to have to pay like everybody else to get elite players..probably more.

Agree with this take. The next few years are gonna be a hard road as we attempt to climb out of this.

I agree about not dwelling on the negative and giving this staff and admin an opportunity to clean this up.

However, I do think we can see (as you put it, the quick turnaround) great improvement out of our young players simply based on the fact that they will be receiving coaching ... top notch, regular (as in often), coaching.

We have some players, certainly not loaded but cupboards aren't bare either. I'm looking forward to seeing them coached up.

Finally got through watching the offensive coaches presser and I agree with other posters who describe them as impressive.

For everyone trying to dissect our QBs off athleticism alone, I think you missed the point on the coaches: they are looking between the ears and who has confidence and doesn’t need their hands held.

So, is Henry T headed to Bama? Is that official or does that continue to be speculation?
I believe Saban told him to go through spring practice with UT and then see where the NCAA lands on the one time transfer rule. If the rule is changed, he's headed to Bama. His dad has really been active on social media about him finishing his college career at Bama. Basically, said you learn from your mistakes.

I guess we all look at things differently. I like what’s been happening. I am excited.

Me too.

I mean, our coaches cheated carelessly, and everyone's gonna pay the price, to some degree. Coaches fired, 'cruits leave ... hopefully the 'AA won't be too harsh on the university seeing as we cleaned house. If they do, they're telling the rest of the universities to never, ever, cooperate.

Nevertheless, I'm super excited to see how everything is going. If guys leave, they leave, it is what it is. But we're finally gonna start climbing out of this now that Pruitt Gump Beldar is gone.
