No way I let him go through the spring unless he is 100% in. You should be doing everything you can to get better and help your team be better so you can beat bama. Not join them. I have no patience for half in. Half out. Either buy in or gtfo now

Don’t hate on kids that transfer. No issue with it. But make your decision and do it. Don’t take a spot all spring for someone else who does want to play for UT and could use the reps

I have a question..... Is UT still paying for HT's online classes while he's being recruited by other schools? Is he in the portal so he can be recruited? Can you still be going to school while in the portal? Is he still in CA and not working out with the team? Can he just come in for spring practice later? Would he really go through spring here while knowing he is leaving? How does AL possibly have a scholarship to give him?????? Okay, a lot of questions because this makes no sense.

The school should be the main thing and what going there will enable them to do in the future lives and not in 3 or 4 years. So if UT isn't where he thinks he can get ahead.....BYE.....we will find somebody that wants to be here and he will be forgotten like many have been before, it's just how it works.

As a parent of a player that was recruited on a much lower level..... this is an idiotic way of looking..... HT only has four years/ maybe an extra one due to covid to play college ball...... this has been a very difficult year for our players..... coaching staff all gone..... several friends transferring....possible sanctions..... toxic environment..... we need to sell the new UT to all our players, fans, and build our brand......

The only question I can answer is that if you enter the portal you can forfeit your scholarship, just because he enrolled in online classes here doesn't mean he's on scholarship.

But we are not parents of the players. We are fans of the team. The team that needs the players to help get us through the things you mentioned. If he went in the portal and signed with another team nobody would blame him. We would not be a fan any longer. If he is waiting around taking classes that UT is paying for, contemplating going through spring practice, and trying to get into AL (our most hated rival) without having to sit a year all while Dad is downing Tennessee that invested so much in his son on social media..... Yeah, Tennessee fans are NOT going to have anything nice to say about him.

My feelings and sentiments towards student-athletes that choose to abandon their commitment to the University of Tennessee when they encounter adversity and setbacks can be succinctly expressed in the chorus of a particular Big Sean song that experienced wide popularity in 2014-2015 (and was also the centerpiece of a fantastic scene in the movie Fist Fight) 😎
