I watched those Milton highlights. Dude rolls out to his left, flips his hips, throws off of one foot effortlessly to the end zone. That dude's arm talent is ridiculous

I haven't seen Milton play much, but if CJH sees potential, good bet it's there. Milton didn't transfer to sit, so I think he has the skillset they want and expects to be the guy. We need that kind of confidence. If one of the current QBs can up his game and earn the job, good for him and good for us.

I'll be honest, right now... to me the best unit on the entire team is the DL. Not even close too.

Size, Talent, Experience, and arguably the best positional group coach on the entire staff. Plenty of 4 and 5 star talent with a good mix of skills.

Not to mention Evans still isn't on campus.

I don't think we can use the word "Best" with any group on this team, but it's fair to say 'Potential'. What this last staff didn't do is crazy, and makes me sick to my stomach that I defended them when I did.

I agree with what @Bassmaster_Vol said earlier that CJH and staff likely have a good feel for Milton's skillset coming out of the Orlando area. They likely know what skills he has, what deficiencies he has and can likely pinpoint how he was used incorrectly at Michigan.

Time will tell....

Remember Jabari Davis was on twitter during year 1 of Pruitt, saying that the practices were some of the most disorganized he'd ever seen. lol

Best is relative to the team, don't think we're a "best" DL in the conference or anything like that.

How are we bad at corner?

Bryce is the only one leaving in the secondary.

Highlighted all the guys who have played for us there too. That's a pretty good bunch and a few more still to arrive from latest class. I also think Fields could emerge, feel like Pruitt buried him cause of his size but I don't think current staff will care if he's not 6'
Previous staff wanted Rucker at safety. I see him as a viable corner in this scheme.

He's also only started one year. So to judge a kid off of one year, especially the covid year and you know how strict they were in Michigan, is unfair. Same with Bailey. Bailey and Milton played in garbage offenses in the weirdest year of our lifetimes. Can't judge either on their performances last year. Plus, none have worked with Heupel. Next time he coaches a bad QB it will be the first time.

Sounds great but as usual we will see. For some like me its just hard to believe anymore. Milton can run no doubt and yes he has a strong arm how I wish that was all there was to it. Strong arms doesn't mean a thing if he can't learn touch as well. I hope Hype proves me wrong. I need to be proven wrong. I see just see more raw in Milton than I do some of our QB's.

I agree that arm strength is just that, unless they also have some accuracy and finesse....can’t just sit back there and throw fastballs all day. However, the way Heup uses wider splits and throw the long ball...arm talent is paramount. I think this is the main reason HB isn’t a good fit. Hopefully Heupel can work some magic with this kid...

Was this copied and pasted from a previous post when the last head coach arrived, or was it the coach before that, or the coach before that? The same things are said every time. I don't give a damn about reports. Only game day results matter, and they've been atrocious for a long time despite all the glowing reports from practice.
Except, you know, I mentioned the fact that he was our best player on defense in the first few games of last season. AT is a really good player with loads of talent and athleticism.

I’m talking specifically at outside corner

Taylor, Burrell, George, Edwards, and Fields

Surely 2 of them can play outside corner. Some of the new guys could be options too, Marley, Rucker, Charles. We are losing only 2 guys from the secondary and one didn't play a ton of ball, compared to other positional groups it's one of the lowest attritions on roster.

Everything is "we'll see" right now. We'll see about this staff, we'll see about the sanctions, we'll see about recruiting, we'll see about players leaving, we'll see about developing those who stay, we'll see about plugging gaps with transfers, we'll see about rebuilding in-state relationships and convincing the best in-state talent to stay home and help rebuild.

We'll see about uniform changes and getting all the oranges to match. We'll see about facilities renos and hiring the right assistants and getting all of our marquee programs moving in the right direction... at the same time.

We are the University of We'll See.

I don’t know how they are benefiting from sitting on their ass. Either go through spring here and stay in shape then leave. Or go ahead and get somewhere.

Naw.... if they are trying to leave/transfer, then they can "go through spring and stay in shape" on their own, somewhere else and shouldn't be able to use our facilities... you don't want to play here, so you can't train here...

At the very least, Milton has the arm for this offense. That damn near puts him ahead of everyone else on the roster.

I agree. Got to have arm strength but unfortunately just seen this to many times. I have to see it happen. I believe Milton has talent no doubt but he just didn't wow me like others and looks really raw like some of our own, Like I said I believe if anyone can develop Hype can just please let me see it for once is all I am saying.
