Last year was year zero for Bailey and it doesn't really look like to me that he's going anywhere, at least not right now. jmo.
Proved it to who? He's got to prove it to CJH.. Our opinions don't count.Rightfully so. He deserves the chance to be the guy this year. He’s done nothing but prove he’s the best QB on roster time and time again. That must not be enough these days.
He looked better in game last year and the only game we’ve seen this year he was the best QB. I don’t think we can afford the reckless play of Maurer this year and Hooker didn’t look great.Proved it to who? He's got to prove it to CJH.. Our opinions don't count.
Hell, when it comes to QB play, the vast majority of people on here have no clue what they're looking at anyway...
I have nothing against HB and yes, he looked good in the O&W game. Not sure how much anyone should read into that, though.. Unless HB transfers, which I hope he doesn't, time will tell if CJH agrees with you.He looked better in game last year and the only game we’ve seen this year he was the best QB. If Bailey doesn't win the job, he has no one to blame but himself. Various local and national reporters have said that he hasn't looked the best in practice. He had a good spring game, but the spring game means much more to fans than it does to coaches. Whoever wins the job, won the job in practice by proving himself to Heupel. Bailey nor any other QB deserves the job because he looked better in a spring game or in a totally different offense last year. I can understand wanting the young man to win the job, but people are putting too much emphasis on a spring game.He looked better in game last year and the only game we’ve seen this year he was the best QB. The thing is neither Brian Maurer nor Henson Hooker are the answer. HB seems to have proven he can at minimum get the ball accurately to playmakers more than the others. If Bailey doesn't win the job, he has no one to blame but himself. You're entitled to your opinion. However, coaches tend to play the players who perform the best at practice. They have more confidence in those players and it helps build a culture based on competition. It doesn't sit right with others on the team when someone who doesn't perform day-to-day gets the start on game day. All I am saying is it is more likely that this competition will get settled in practice than by overanalyzing a spring game performance. Idc who starts at QB, but anointing Bailey as the clear starter after a meaningless spring game is premature.Your point? Give me game production over practice warrior everyday. It’s my opinion.
Well plenty are anointing Maurer or dismissing HB wouldn’t that be premature as well? It’s my opinion. I’ve seen Maurer be reckless on Saturdays and I’ve seen Bailey be more poised and in control. Not saying either are all sec I just would in my opinion take the player who’s in control. We’ve seen enough reckless QB play for a long time and I hope we don’t this season. Maurer just feels like a disaster waiting to happen and tries to do too much. Obviously my opinion doesn’t matter and I’ll tune in every Saturday to watch regardless but that’s just my two cents worth. You're entitled to your opinion.
