I'm not sure I totally believe that. At least I don't believe it in comparison to how other schools pay top players. If Henry had stuck around in Knoxville, I think he would have found it very "lucrative" to do so. And I'm sure he'll have no problem in that department at Alabama.

I guess I understand the angst, but if injected with truth serum, I'd say most of our guys are just happy to see their friend go to a program that wins a lot of games. There is a lack of pride - and that didn't start this year. It doesn't mean our wins and losses are due to a lack of pride.

So basically you're saying they envy him? If that's the case then if this is the type of player we're destined to get, we'll never be competitive. I can assure you that vandy players wouldn't be high fiving a teammate that decided to transfer to Tennessee. I'm sure the Florida players wouldn't be stroking a teammate that transfered to Georgia or Tennessee. I absolutely don't recall the Bama players cheering on AK when he transferred to Tennessee.

If you think that these players being indifferent about one of their teammates transferring to Alabama and even cheering him on doesn't say volumes about the culture of this team and their competive fire, I'm not sure what to think.

For those making a big deal about this being a Tennessee culture thing. Here is a picture of Jameson Williams’ Twitter feed after he announced his transfer from Ohio State to Alabama.....the person congratulating him is Chris Olave (2022 potential first round pick from OSU).

Does anyone think that Ohio State is having trouble establishing a winning culture right now?

That's not to Michigan

LOL how do all y’all act when your buddy and co-worker accepts a new job? You cut that mofo out of your life and sh*t on him or are you an adult with a fully functioning brain?

Your fandom (all fan’s fandom) is seldom equivalent to how a player feels. Grow up you bunch of babies.

Wish him well and then go kick his azz. You can do both.

LOL This is one of the worst false equivalencies I've ever seen.

Why would anyone care about their best friend getting another job? He's not going to be competing against me at a different company. That makes no sense.

We're talking about a player leaving our team and going to a rival who plays against us every year. He's going to be tackling our players. He's going to celebrate beating us on the field.

I don't believe those teams would be able to consistently compete in a premier conference.

Hell, I don't think Iowa State would be over .500 most years in the SEC.
As usual, you are missing the point. the culture was in place at UCF which is why a team of very low talent could beat AU in 2017 and give LSU everything they wanted in 2018 with a backup QB starting. Iowa State beat OU last year. Pride and culture go a long way and to argue that it doesn't is asinine

Dafuq you talking about? Someone could easily be on my team, be my friend, accept a new job and directly compete against me. I’m in medical sales. Anyone in sales can have this happen to them.

And I’d congratulate my buddy all day long for taking a new job (that prob pays a little better 😉) and then I’d go out-work him and kick his azz.

Bryan Maurer needs to transfer. I am not a fan and haven’t ever been. He’s always been too much of a “hype man” and more interested in twitter than actually trying to be a QB.

You want to see a hype man, look at Salter's social presence. He is his own hype man and biggest fan.

Come on. Are you serious? What jobs are you referring to?

I guess my point is that any team can beat any team on a given day. Look at Georgia State-Tennessee. If you played that game 12 times, Tennessee probably wins 11/12.

So yes, culture and pride are important, but at the end of the day, I believe talent is more important to win at a high level in the SEC. But obviously you need both.

Nobody is arguing otherwise. But our team has no pride as indicated by this Henry fiasco and the fact that they have quit so many times over the past few years. Shoot. They were laughing and cutting up while losing by 30. That has to change

I mean, I worked at Food City in college, and I know that if any of my co-workers would have left for Kroger’s, they could catch these hands.

So. Did we decide yet who can piss the furthest?
Henry T gone to Bama. Bye. Thought he regressed a ton after Bituli left.
Some players congratulated him on Twitter. Wish they hadn't.
We got a Defensive Lineman who could potentially be an axe murderer for us for 3 years and several upgrades the last few weeks. THAT'S the future.
GO VOLS!!!

If your son went to Alabama to play football, would you disown him and want Tennessee to teach him a lesson on the field? My guess is that you would probably support him and put an Alabama decal on your truck.
I would never have to worry about that bc my son would never go to Alabama.

No pride is why Georgia State beat us. This has been a problem at Tennessee for a while. Bray and Kentucky and such....
