LAVOL stated we already have the money for it...... UTAH is not close to the same level as Florida..... we are the same level as the rest of the SEC...... a better example would be someone like Miami who is a top school but facilities have fallen apart. If you’ve seen what our facilities look like vs the rest of the conference, it is. We don’t have the money to fix it immediately. It’ll take a decade. Especially with neyland renovation taking precedence
He was using a back up QB who was not good and who turned the ball over twice. And he still put up 32 points and lost by a touchdown to the team that would win the NC the next season. Reach some moreI’m concerned about games like this. The score was way closer than it should’ve been. That TOP is awful

It's a bit more complicated than getting the money. UT earmarked upcoming TV funds for facility improvements. But Tony V has a specific vision for LNS. He sketched it out, and he and Fulmer refined it. Fulmer toured other stadiums, and they refined some more to enhance the fan experience within the current footprint.
TV funding is several years away, so donors came into play. Internal upheaval happened. Personnel changed. Plans changed. UT decided that the downtown stadium was a good solution. Tony V's vision hasn't changed-- just the players. Momentum slowed. They don't have project approval, final renderings, a schedule or a budget. Even phased, they have to know what each phase will cost to see what can be donor-matched and what can be funded from other revenue buckets. It's an involved process, with a number of players. It's not just the money.
