Why? Everybody in baseball knows not to argue ball/strike calls. It's an immediate ejection to come out of the coaches' box or dugout to do it. Has been for years. The ump even tried to get him to go back and he refused. So he tossed him as he should. The pitching coach kept mouthing and it cost him as well.
I was going off the assumption that the umpire made the determination that a pitcher intentionally threw at a batter that it would be an automatic month suspension subject to appeal of course.....How does an umpire levy a month long suspension?
