The nearly 16 year old may or may not make it. It is up in the air most days as boys have become a bit too much of an interest lately. I don't like it and I don't like them.

I'm already practicing my Bad Boys speech for the poor fool that rings the doorbell...

The fact that the oldest has turned out to look almost exactly like my wife is a bit troubling at times. She is a gorgeous young lady and that just makes me hate boys allllll the more.

If I have a daughter I hope she favors me because I’ll be in prison eventually if she looks like my girl

A lady once told my wife she has "bedroom eyes." Well, she does...and my 7 year old looks exactly like her.

I couldn’t imagine having a teenage daughter and pray daily that when we decide to have kids that a boy pops out

I have 3 boys and 1 girl. Absolutely treasure my little girl; the thought of her being a teenager is horrifying. Just showing her love and teaching her to love herself, and I hope that is enough. She looks just like my wife, but with my coloring, so that makes it even scarier. Two older brothers definitely helps though.

There is definitely much greater peace of mind with the boys.

Kudos to you good parents out there. As a teacher, it is so easy to predict a kid's home life juat by spending a few days with the student.

I initially wanted to go into teaching with my history degree and I had nowhere near enough patience for it and dropped out of the program within a month. I’m doing fine now despite shifting my life plan entirely after college. But god I respect what teachers do.

Pretty sure my high school history teacher was sleeping with a few of the girls in our class.....He was a bit too touchy feely.

Idk about Tennessee or other states, but all of South Carolina's high school history teachers are coaches. The high school I went to was the biggest in the state and one of the few that prioritized athletics though

Speaking of.. A 4 or 5 star PF (depending on the recruiting service) from my alma mater is being recruited by Tennessee. Hope he goes.

My 16 year old daughter has her first "boyfriend." Don't like it and don't like him, neither. Might be a good person, but he is a 16 year old boy. That is plenty enough reason to dislike.

I used to be a 16 year old boy so know what they are thinking about. It is either something really stupid or sex in some form or fashion. Stay the heck away from them.

John Fulkerson broke his wrist today in practice. I don’t have any details at this hour as to severity or how long he will be out but obviously not ideal for the guy coming back for his sixth year

That is the key. Helping girls develop a healthy respect for themselves is crucial.

Most dads think shotgun, or even an axe, but these can be fairly intimidating as well.

If it’s any motivation, when I was in high school I was seeing this girl casually and the second I met her dad I never talked to her again. Man was a gulf war vet and looked prison strong

I was talking about Leath. I was not even aware of Joyce. Will Joyce be on the roster in 2022? I think I read Leath is likely to get drafted, but may be getting the two mixed up.

Joyce is back next season.

Kennedy Chandler, Huntley-Hatfield, Aidoo and Justin Powell have all impressed over the last month but that Chandler is just on a different level than his classmates and looks as good as advertised.

Chandler doesn’t have a perfect record when the team splits up and plays five-on-five but we’ve been told whichever side he’s on wins the overwhelming majority of the time.

One program insider also told us recently that Chandler is the most mentally tough player the Vols have had since Grant Williams left and that even as a freshman he’s capable of taking whatever Rick Barnes throws at him without it affecting his attitude or effort.

I know football season hasn't even started, but this gets me basketball feels a flowing.

I think this will be a redemption year for the basketball team. I’m glad one of the freshmen didn’t get hurt and it was fulky if it had to be somebody. He doesn’t lose much for missing a couple months of practice compared to them

I’m leery of VQ summer updates, though. They had me convinced last year that we were capable of winning the NBA finals.
