Bet Uncle Uly knows a guy that can rough ‘em up for ya.
True story...a few years ago when my daughter first introduced us to her then fiance, I acted the nicest I ever have in my life...till she got up to go the restroom, then as soon as she got out of earshot..I went from warmly smiling then turned the coldest eyes I could muster on him, and quietly told him that if he ever physically hurt her or caused her to get in any kind of trouble with the law that they would never find even a piece of him...

He tells that story to everybody, he says that he literally almost got up and ran out the door...I wasn't bluffing and he knew it.

I'm glad he didn't though, he is a great hearted, hard working and loving young man, I couldn't have asked for a better Son in Law.

Christ almighty. My girlfriend's biological father is dead, but her step-dad was the GM of the GameStop I worked at in high school and obviously he didn't like me then.. Can't tell if he likes me now or not, but he reserved me a PS5 on release day so I guess he's warmed up some lol

I was talking about Leath. I was not even aware of Joyce. Will Joyce be on the roster in 2022? I think I read Leath is likely to get drafted, but may be getting the two mixed up.
I wasn't sure since you said whole season but yeah there's a good chance Leath is gone. SR's have no leverage in baseballso he will get a better deal this year if he goes now.

I was always cleaning an AR when boys came over to the house.
Too cliche, everyone has done this and it's the same. The most tore up I've seen a kid was when I shook the boys hand and looked him directly in the eye for 45 seconds and didn't say a word. I would also like to add in that I will one day stare at a boy and change the tv channel for a few minutes while staring at him and not saying a word. All it takes is a little uncomfortableness for young men to fear you forever.

That’s a bit extreme for a guy who loves weed and doesn’t understand that loving it in the south comes with consequences. I knew plenty of guys who couldn’t stop smoking weed no matter how much trouble they got in with their parents or in some cases the law. They got it together when they got older
I don’t think it was just weed…… sounds like he had been a mess in almost every area since he had been here.

Flipping the switch from nice to crazy is a perfectly acceptable tactic. Make them think you’re at least 10% crazy and can do anything. Bonus points for whispering…

The nearly 16 year old may or may not make it. It is up in the air most days as boys have become a bit too much of an interest lately. I don't like it and I don't like them.
My oldest had a boy that kept saying he wasn't scared. I went up and said "I heard you ain't scared. Good, it's more fun when there's someone fighting back. January 6, 2021" and smiled real big, that's his 18th birthday. They broke up 3 days later.

both arrests were marijuana related. i didn't know of any other issues outside of those

Each individual in the first incident was evaluated, but the first incident involved more than just smoking marijuana. Allegations of a burglary, etc.

That said, the coaches and staff see these kids on a daily basis. There is more than just two arrests. Being on time, being responsible with going to class, putting in effort, being a good teammate, etc. are all things that are evaluated. Not saying I know any more, but some of these kids can't get figure it out for a while, and some never do.

Good stuff, McGill. lol

Nobody ever got away with messing with my daughter. So I guess my rep preceded me with my SIL. He was so afraid when he came to ask us to marry her that he could not bring himself to sit down with us. He wanted to be near the door so he could run out real quick. We made him sit and he got the lecture. And like you, here we are 11 years later and I could not have asked for a better SIL. It's a good thing because he is good at his law enforcement career, so I would not want to take him on.

I met this one girls dad and he introduced himself as RIP( Rest In Peace)…. His daughter was an absolute freak…. I was the good person in that short lived romance….. he was taping phone convos at his house bc he didn’t trust his wife…. He didn’t like what he heard from my conversations with his daughter and threatened to kill me if I didn’t break up with his daughter nicely….. Being the macho teenager that I was….. I said yes sir and was very nice explaining that it was my fault.

Made a big deal of not being wish happy birthday by UT after he was suspended.
Also the first charge couldve been more severe as the group he was with had allegedly broken into other dorm rooms and stolen things from other UT students from what I remember. Still rooting for the kid, but he’s gotta figure it out

Was also driving without a license. Not sure if that was just not having it with him, or because it was suspended. The stop was due to a taillight out and tinted film over his tag. Throwing the weed out of the car might not have been the smartest move either. There are layers of fail. Weed was only part of it.
