Middleton could very well start.

Losing Emerson, Middleton and Solomon is a big deal and we would be extremely thin in the middle.
Middleton was our 4th interior lineman at the beginning of Spring at best according to what I was gathering from practice reports behind Simmons, Soloman, and Butler. That is before he went AWOL, that is.

Not convinced Bumphus and Garland weren't ahead of him as well. Who knows with Blakely and O. Thomas also in the mix.

Mind you that is BEFORE adding two more DL from the portal that will likely start. Middleton very well could be 6th or 7th in that interior rotation. With Soloman likely just ahead of him.

I think his tweets and leadership after hiring Heupel are giving some people a false sense of where he sits on the depth chart.

He just tweeted he has to look out for what is in his best interest and his families best interest. I interpret that to clearly mean he is worried about PT.

You don't want players to transfer regardless, but it's asinine to act like anyone leaving because they are buried on the depth chart is going to cost us multiple wins.

We aren't thin at DL. Just isn't the case lol

Admiral and Grant's teams did this and we all loved it. The Barstool Rocky Top account would post a clip of them dancing after every win.

Granted, they were winners. Can't do stuff like that when you're losers.
They weren’t dancing and lip syncing to Justin freaking Beiber lmao

We're talking about talent. I know you're trying to be the new Catbone... but KY never recruits in the top 30 and Mizzou is worse than that. We are way more talented than them and that will not change. What we've lacked is development. And in no universe will KY ever be better than us. Beating us because JG gave them the ball 3 times does not make them better than us. They've beaten us 3 times in 35 years. They are not better than us but you're free to continue in your delusion
We are not more talented than them now. You have to subtract all the talent that has left from the equation.

They had 6 draft picks leave. We had two guys, maybe 3 tops who will be drafted leave us. They lost their best players. We also added 9 players to the roster so we replaced many of what we lost. It all works out in the wash.

Teacher asks the kids in spelling class to tell what their father does for a living, and spell it.
First kid says, "My daddy’s a baker. That’s b-a-k-e-r. He makes bread and lots of sweet goodies to eat."
Second kid says, "My daddy’s a banker. That’s b-a-n-k-e-r. He makes lots of money, buys us lots of toys."
Next kid says, "My daddy’s an electrician. That’s e-l-a-k…uh, e-l-e-x…uh…."
Teacher interrupts, saying, "That’s okay, Rayford. Think about it and we’ll come back to you." Turning to little Johnny, she says, "You’re next, Johnny."
Johnny says, "My daddy’s a bookie. That’s b-o-o-k-i-e, and I’ll lay you odds ten to one Rayford don’t ever spell electrician."

Their talent was recruited for, and has been in the same system for multiple years...ours was recruited for completely different system, and having to learn new system and in a lot if cases new positions..

Face it, no matter how decent to good this staff is...this year is going to suck.

It's really not that complicated. It's income, it goes on their 1040, it gets taxed. Same as a college student who works at McDonald's.
Main difference is they won't be employees, so taxes won't be taken out automatically. It will really be up to them to keep up with their income. And self-employment taxes are outside the standard deduction, so it will hit nearly all of them. Normally one doesn't have to file taxes if they're below the deduction amount (12k or whatever), but for the self-employed that threshold is very low ($400).

But yeah it really shouldn't be that complicated as long as they keep up with their earnings and set 15% aside to pay the SE tax (preferably pay quarterly but yeah...don't see that happening for most). This should be one of the first things they're taught in these UT NiL courses.

I do know what a scholarship is worth.
I am willing to pay money to see the Vols because that money goes to support every team and the facilities for those teams that wear the UT uniform...not just the footbl.team

I would never watch or care about a minor league football team. I want the NFL to start there own farm so the idiots that don't care about their education or Tennessee in general can go there and waste their life..I won't care.

Everybody keeps throwing that Billion dollar number around, but UT does not make a billion dollars. The players should be happy to get the outrageously expensive education that they earn...plus all the other stuff that comes with it..tax free.

**** the mercenaries...I am sick of them.

That was my point on this to begin with. Little more to it than filing a 1040EZ since they are basically self employed. And yes, surely they will include that in their classes, but my guess none of these have a clue tight now with this starting up tomorrow.

I also don't care if they make money off of their name and image as long as someone can tell me how it won't lead to even more corruption and inequities.

Yo that Beibs+Luda song was nice 😁

His new album is actually gaining a lot of respect...Complex ranked it #2 album of the year 😶
That song with Chance The Rapper 🔥🔥🔥

Trying my best Suave impression.

Nobody is talking about this year gruff. We're talking about talent. TN will always be more talented than KY who doesn't recruit in the top 30. Besides, we will beat them this year anyway
