He tried to get around him bc the drunk idiot was blocking the path. He tried to just walk past, but the guy said something or possibly touched his back. When he turned around the guy flinched at him like he was going to hit him. He reacted and knocked the idiot out. He could’ve pounded his face into the ground, but he just walked away. I see absolutely nothing wrong with what he did. Would you just wait until the drunk idiot hit you?? I don’t understand your rationale
It sucks, but I’m just not concerned about it with CRG at the helm. He will get that position right. No doubt.
My comment was not made with an imminent mindset. Idk how Heupel will do if given 5 years, but 5 years of CRG and I feel confident our DL will be a strength of the team.Hopefully, but even a good coach is limited by the talent he has. A couple of injuries and depth will be an issue. A big issue.
Even scarier will be next year. We lose so many players on defense. This recruiting class will need to be defense heavy. I'm curious if Heupel will feel the same, or if he'll focus on his offense at the expense of our defense. Currently, we have like 36 scholarship defense players, far as I can tell. We lose at least 12 after the season. Comparatively we have 40 scholarship offense players and lose at least 10. Then there's 3 special teamers, and we lose 2, but didn't we take a walk-on kicker or punter, or maybe both? So from what I can tell, we're at 79 scholarship players atm. If we find a walk-on DB, we'll be at 80.
It really is scary how bad we lack depth. Keeping guys healthy will be huge.
I don't disagree. I was just pointing out he doesn't have a lot to work with atm. That's more an indictment of what the previous staff left him with.My comment was not made with an imminent mindset. Idk how Heupel will do if given 5 years, but 5 years of CRG and I feel confident our DL will be a strength of the team.
Seriously? None of that at all justifies physical assault in that manner. He will be charged and should be. He will be forced to pay a large civil suit and he should be. It is not the year 500 A.D.
Stipends are non-taxable. This is incorrect. You don’t pay taxes on anything like that especially not room and board. All of this is figured into your “scholarship”Far from tax free. Same as acedemic scholarships. Costs beyond tuition and related expenses are taxable - namely room and board and stipends for athletes, IRS doesn't care if you have an academic or athletic scholarship. If it isn't for tuition or books, taxes are due.

I disagree with all of that and really don’t see where you’re coming from at all. You can’t flinch at someone in a bar like you’re going to hit them and not expect consequences. That was the first threatening move made, and the fighter didn’t wait around for another one. He then quickly showed restraint once the threat was neutralized.I see something different. I see a bully take the first punch and seriously injure another guy. Doesn’t matter what he said. He wasn’t a threat and he didn’t strike first.
And yes, I would wait until a drunk idiot hit me, although I doubt he would because I wouldn‘t have been rude in the first place. As for the other guy, that’s assault. He could have killed that guy. He does that to me, assuming I’m still conscious, he’ll get several 9mm rounds to the chest.
