While it looks savage I guess you should make an act like you are going to hit someone. It isn’t okay that the drunk guy, (yes he was drunk) but he moved to act like he was going to hit him. He doesn’t know the guy, just so happens he turns out to be a fighter. He got hit like 3 times and goes night night.

I think the drunk guy Learns a lesson from this. Also, this society is getting so soft lol 😂
This! Good grief people… don’t act like you’re going to hit somebody if you’re not prepared to get hit yourself

NIL should be huge for us. A program with tradition and the only major program in state. Kids that play well here will make an absolute killing with how passionate this area is for the Vols.

Hope so. And hope recruiters can use it as leverage. I think you get crowded out at Alabama- hard to shine there. Come play for a passionate fan base and be a star from day 1…

I find it funny all these college kids think they are going to make so much money lol 😂, do they not realize that you have guys who are in the pros who barely make any money off of endorsements and names and likeness?

Only the really good players are going to make money off of that.
I have a friend that was a walk on for the 85 sugar Vols…… wonder if it is too late for him to cash in lol

I don't disagree. I was just pointing out he doesn't have a lot to work with atm. That's more an indictment of what the previous staff left him with.
I'm not going nitpick anything about this staff for at least three years. The program was absolutely nuked, and it is what it is.

I expect the next two years to be rough, and then see gradual improvement as they get more of their guys in.

A lot of folks are living on Vol Fantasy Island when it comes to expectations for this crew and this squad.

I appreciate Heupel and his staff for taking on the job, it took a lot of balls after the mess created for the last 15 years, and I appreciate the players that had the balls and love enough for Tennessee to stay, wear the uniform and try to claw us out of this hole.

I will be supporting them win or lose.

The drunk was moved out of the way and probably had something said to him, too. He should not have flinched at him, but the reaction was way over the top. Hope his azz gets sued off.

Middleton could very well start.

Losing Emerson, Middleton and Solomon is a big deal and we would be extremely thin in the middle.

Losing players that don’t want to put in the effort required by the NFL factory DL coach is very telling. Rather be thin than have bodies that give no effort.

They were not touted as giving their all… not any word of that since the new staff arrived. So losing a halfass pruitt starter doesn’t worry me.

That was my point on this to begin with. Little more to it than filing a 1040EZ since they are basically self employed. And yes, surely they will include that in their classes, but my guess none of these have a clue tight now with this starting up tomorrow.

Will the IRS now consider the scholarship, room, board, tutoring, etc. Capital Gains income? This could backfire dramatically, especially since our new sitting President has the tax hunger…

Stipends are non-taxable. This is incorrect. You don’t pay taxes on anything like that especially not room and board. All of this is figured into your “scholarship”

I don’t know if people truly pay taxes on them or not, but under the code, only qualifying educational expenses are tax free. He is correct with this respect. Just takes a quick google search.

I disagree with all of that and really don’t see where you’re coming from at all. You can’t flinch at someone in a bar like you’re going to hit them and not expect consequences. That was the first threatening move made, and the fighter didn’t wait around for another one. He then quickly showed restraint once the threat was neutralized.
Have you never been in a bar fight? A little extreme to say you would kill someone with a gun for punching you. That’s a serious problem in the world

Lol. How many people do you think have been in a bar fight? Probably not many because reasonable people walk away.

All he had to say was “didn’t mean any harm with the push” and walk away. Drunk guy would have never remembered it.

Absolutely.

So it's OK to risk killing someone with your fist but not with a gun? The problem was with the guy that put hands on another. All the dude had to do was ease by the guy and say "excuse me, buddy" and slipped by him. But instead he chose to act like a complete bully and push the guy out of the way. It's obvious his roid rage kicked in. He was in no serious jeopardy from the drunk guy.

What if the drunk guy was a woman?

If the drunk guy had somehow pulled a gun and shot the dude after he punched him would he have been justified? (He absolutely would have)

So you must be one of those rare people who stay completely in control when drunk. No changes in judgement, no changes inhibitions. Most are not. They say dumb things. They do dumb things. So pontificating while sober about how dumb he was is kinda pointless.

He struck first. One punch can kill. Trained fighter vs a drunk. I hope he gets sued.

And yes, I would be completely justified in defending myself with a gun against a guy half my age and twice my strength, who is a trained fighter and who took the first shot.

Would you not feel threatened if a drink guy in a bar flinched at you? That would tell me I was going to get hit.. they’re atleast thinking about it. Then it turns into, I have to hit them first before they hit me. The guy got what he asked for

Here’s the lesson - don’t act like you’re going to hit somebody unless you’re prepared to scrap.
No, being drunk doesn’t give you a free pass. Is that excuse going to work if he drives drunk and kills somebody? Being drunk and not thinking clearly is not an excuse to show your ass. If you can’t handle it, don’t drink in public. People like you shouldn’t have weapons

The reaction to the guy acting like he was about to hit him was….. getting hit. He asked for it and got it. Don’t act like an idiot, and this wouldn’t have happened. He wasn’t an innocent bystander or something lol
