Apparently she just got the car to shift into gear again so she is trying to drive as far as possible…. I finally got AVIS to give us a rental and call my wife and she tells me she is driving….. hopefully they make it to North Carolina now….

Man, that’s horrible! I know it would be expensive, but Lyft or Uber? Why won’t a rental company let them rent a vehicle to drop off at Raleigh Durham? How about a rental company outside the airport like Enterprise? U can rent a cheap one for a week or so, as 2 people will have to come back anyways to get the car that’s broken down.

All the other rental car places are closed except for the airport in Atlanta. I finally got AVIS to give me a rental and call my wife to make sure and she tells me the car finally started and went into gear so apparently she is trying to make it to North Carolina now….. hopefully they make it this is terrible and I felt so helpless being in Guatemala for work.

It was definitely “information dispensing”. Aired the dirty laundry to make us sound like SMU of fifty years ago to the public and parents. Aired enough that “the industry” understood TN administration was naive and they should stay away. Just because she should have fired Fulmer and Pruitt doesn’t make her handling anything close to good.

Yes, it would have been really nice if everyone inside the AD was working together to do what was best for Tennessee. Would have been even better if PF would have just fired JP and retired so we could have moved on quickly. But none of that happened. So there were two choices. Keep PF and JP and try to cover up what had been revealed. Or take extreme measures to take the power away from PF's camp. I don't like either choice, but can honestly say I am glad I am not facing another season with JP as coach.

I’m about 2 hours from there man. If they’re stranded I can probably get to them

The administration staying away is what got us in this mess. They were trusting Fulmer to run the department and he was totally inept.

We’ve always clamored for the President and Chancellor to back up our AD and let them work. They did so until it wasn’t feasible. Now let Dan White do his run. If he’s remotely competent, we benefit.
