Not sure what you mean by "above their weight".Oakland is Murfreesboro, right?
Always feel like Murfreesboro teams box above their weight. Curious if there is an idea or theory why.
All these uniforms are a lot cooler than the ones we had in the early 2000s. They were nice, but really simple
Bama has been doing this for years. Maybe this will level the playing field a bit.You now have what can only be described as sub contractors playing a sport for Public and Private Universities that offer that sport. Schools with big money donors, alumni and connections to large corporations are now going to buy their schools a competitive team, one way or another. Many will be surprised in the near future as to the new teams which will have a monetary edge.
Maybe so but just for sh!ts and giggles what if Jeff Bezos decided he want Princeton to have a great team, in theory he could buy one . I know that is far fetched but there is nothing out of the realm at this time. Look at the kid from TSU, a four year 2 MILLION dollar contract to play basketball and he is a 3 star player. I know his dad is a rapper but what if 4 or 5 music moguls decide that want to build TSU into the new Duke, not that that is a bad thing but..........Bama has been doing this for years. Maybe this will level the playing field a bit.
That's the expectation in Starkville. If they start the season strong I see 6-8 wins. They get Louisiana Tech, NC State, at Memphis, and TSU as OOC. From the East they get Kentucky and Vanderbilt. A down LSU at home. Auburn is down. TAMU is down but still better. Then Ole Miss is a rivalry game that can go either way.So does anyone think the Pirate over in Starkville will improve this year? Will be interesting to see if he progresses each season or is in the wrong conference... prolly doesn't help that we snagged one of his top WR's, but I know some on here thought he would be a good fit in Knoxville....
Why is Arkansas a guaranteed loss? That's the expectation in Starkville. If they start the season strong I see 6-8 wins. They get Louisiana Tech, NC State, at Memphis, and TSU as OOC. I think Arkansas, Alabama, and probably TAMU are the only guaranteed losses for them.
