People have such short memories. Tee should be remembered as a legend.

I don’t disagree, but the rumors of him being upset for being passed over for the head gig when he is unqualified hasn’t really helped his cause very much over the last few years. We showered him with love and admiration when he finally came back as WR coach. I’d love for him to take the next step during his NFL tenure, and eventually return home again. But there’s a reason he’s been passed over by the South Alabama’s of the world. Not HC material, yet!

Tbh from his throwing motion, how he carries himself, and even runs, he reminds me of Dobbs some. Not quite as much as KJ Jefferson (Arky QB) reminds me of him, but still a bit.

All I can remember is looking up at the TV...3rd and 7. Slot receiver is being "covered" by a LB that is about 10 yards off him. Slot receiver takes 1 step and cuts in on a slant. Catches the ball like it's backyard football, picks up 1st down.

Now repeat this about 100 times with NO adjustments. That's my memory of our 3rd down defense last year

Thought he looked pretty dang mediocre that day tbh. Hopefully just a bad day for him, as the rest of Spring and now Fall camp reports would point toward.

For now, just going to trust Hype, however this turns out.

It's going to suck. I see us being one of the schools left out in the cold on this, we have nobody that gives a crap enough to buy a good team, and even if they do...who wants to pull for a team of pure mercenaries that don't give a dang about Tennessee or what it means to be a Volunteer.

We will field a team that will give their all for Tennessee.
Think of the SugarVols. Name 5 superstars on that team. They beat high and mighty Miami full of future NFL players and coaches; many are now in NFL HOF.

NIL will fill certain teams with mercenaries. Our mercenaries folded as soon as they got hit too many times or got behind in a game. Don’t want those players or those types of coaches anymore.

Don’t want those players at Tennessee anymore. I want Volunteers to play for us. Don’t need to be national champs every year. But I want a team full of players that want to play for my university damn it.

The arm strength thing is a cop out excuse, for me. I think if HB is third, it's because he's moving the offense the third best, straight up. I just don't think the staff is going to go out and fall in love with arm strength over all else.

I don't discount arm strength at all. The "arm strength doesn't matter" crowd would have let Patrick Mahomes go undrafted. It matters.

I just see a lot of posts along the lines of "HB is third... Oh it must be all arm strength". To me there is no reason to think Hooker and Milton can't be ahead of HB in terms of accuracy and command of the offense.

He’s just not going to be the guy, and that’s fine. I’m sure he’s a hard worker and great teammate. Maybe he can fill in when needed but this is under two staff’s he’s not been able to rise to the top

Of course… he is still a COVID freshman, so he could absolutely bloom late
