I have a grill/smoker/flat top obsession. I have everything under the sun haha. Pellets are okay, very convenient, get good moist food, great color but the smoke is meh. Kamado Joe/ BGE is the way to go IMO. You can also make them convenient by buying a $250-$300 regulator fan. All you have to do is set the temp and go do what you need to. They sell them at bbqguru.com.

This is also a good point. I don’t have one of these but have heard great things and takes away some of the learning curve I was talking about in my post.

Don’t know if anyone’s posted it yet but one of the Marines killed was from Knoxville and went to Gibbs.

RIP soldier.

I just saw McCollum from Wyoming that left behind a wife and his first child is due in 3 weeks. Heartbreaking

I can’t even imagine. Thinking of all those families

Welcome to my city. How’s the game lol. Go Panthers!
Very boring….. both teams look awful…. At least it was Steelers backups versus Carolinas starters….. Although Carolina did sit mccaffrey today….. I was hoping Dobbs would show out but he is doing nothing so far to keep himself off the practice squad….. I’m not too far from Charlotte now….. I live in Shelby.

Not too far at all, if you ever want to get together to watch our Vols, I’m buying.

Sounds good….. maybe after October we can get together and watch a game….. my son plays football on saturdays and I have season tickets in Neyland…. We worked out 3 games that I am missing of his to go to neyland…. I promised that I wouldn’t miss any more of his games. LOL

How often have we gotten to 6 wins in the last decade? 6 wins is a marked improvement, especially for a first year coach massively overhauling the offense and defense.
you still haven't read my post.

The point was, last year's team was a 6-6 team. They only went 3-7 because it was all SEC. Had we had the typical 3 cupcakes, they win 6 games.

My point is this year's team should be much improved over them. We are a better football team than we were last year.

Everyone I know who's owned a pool has regretted it. Small sample size admittedly, but they're a huge hassle and take a ton of money.

When we moved to our current home I wanted to get rid of the above ground pool because I thought they were so much work. It is really very little work and so nice to be able to hop in on the weekends and float around with a drink and just relax. The kids are teenagers now and don't use it as much but the wife and I still enjoy it.

I have had a BGE for over 40 years and have not found anything to compare with them. I actually have 2 now, a mini for my wife and me and a great extra large for bigger occasions. I have cooked as many as 70 hamburgers and 50 hot dogs in just over 30 minutes to serve 75 guests. It is also excellent for baby back ribs, turkeys, pizza, pork roasts, fish, prime rib roasts, shrimp and just about anything you want to cook. Nothing cooks like a BGE.

I loved my pool at our old house. Will 100% be getting a pool again if we move back to Florida. Hopefully this time with the tanning platforms.

The issue is that even in the south, we use it about 3.5 months out of the year. Florida is different. But an in-ground can be quite expensive after a while. Chemicals all summer; we’ve replaced the pump motor several times; and eventually you either have to replaster the gunite (or replace liner) and even repair concrete. I don’t, but some people also pay to open and close it each year.

I will say that it’s great during a pandemic.
