As a Floridian, pools are clutch for a year round activity. Not alot of "fall days" so it's a nice way to cool down. I'm not familiar with the care during winter weather so that, I would assume, should play a factor. Pools have gotten really expensive the last decade so it's a tough decision than it used to be.
Johnson City has several Munipools. And, a few neighborhoods have them as well. I would encourage folks wanting a pool to look at a house with neighborhood pool. Its great for kiddos.

Quick note on pools from someone who has never owned one… and this probably carries over for most big purchases…

If it’s not a must have, make it a don’t have.

The last thing you want is long term regret on something you were never really sold on in the beginning

My Grandpa used to say “a pool is just a big hole in the ground you throw money into”

And he was right. Upkeep isn’t cheap. Hell, my motor just burned out the other day and it was $400+ to replace it

I’m not a pool person. But my 2 year old son loves it so that makes it worth it. But I’d never own one without kids

Most winters are ok, but this past February, Memphis had 9 straight days where the high temperature wasn’t above freezing. Tied a record. I tried using a shovel to break up ice at the surface and couldn’t. I placed two blankets over my pool pump and above ground pipes, and I got lucky that it didn’t hurt anything.

Predicting 6-6 says that there is no improvement over last year's team. In a normal year, last year's team would have at least went 6-6. There would have been 3 cupcakes and we won 3 SEC games. We did that with JG at QB and Pruitt running his high school offense.

So what you're saying is, that we lost JG and Pruitt, addition by subtraction, that we upgraded the QB room simply by having someone, anyone else at the position, and that we upgraded the coaching staff at HC, OC, QB, TE, OL, DL, and LB, and yet we will see no improvement?

There is no one, not even the mods, who predict that our offense won't be better. In fact, we all expect not only improvement, but a major jump on the offense. But we won't be better? We won't be improved? Even with improved offense and upgrades at nearly every coaching position? That's to say nothing for team chemistry.

I don't see it. We're not going to compete for the east, but we will be significantly better than last year's team.

We also lost our 2 best LBs, 2 best RBs, out best OL, our best WR, and our best defensive back. I think the offense will be better but I'm not sure how much since I have no idea what Milton can do. It seems likely the defense will be worse. 6-6 feels about right given those negatives combined with the positives you list.

If Heupel and company do better than 6-6 they'll deserve a lot of credit as a staff. They'll be proving your statement that we've upgraded coaching at all those positions. Putting a brand new offense in place while integrating so many transfers into the team and winning immediately will be impressive.

@nicksjuzunk I just ordered some more Built bars. Played with the “saveXX” coupon code and got 15% off with the “save15” code. Worth keeping that written down for future use.

Oh, and the strawberry ones taste like chocolate covered strawberries.

Are you now a BYU scholarship athlete, too?

2 best LBs? I'll agree on Toot, but I really don't see Crouch as that big of a loss. I think we'll be just fine at RB.

When you say best OL, are you referring to Trey, or are you gifting Wanya with that title? If it's Wanya, he didn't live up to his billing while here. Poor coaching. Maybe he'll get better coaching at OU than Will Friend provided, but we'll be okay without him.

We're going 7-5 or better.

As a Floridian, you suck.

I keep hearing about those but wasn't sure about the taste. Most protein bars taste like dookie.

They were just ok for me bro

Nice macros but a bit small. They fill in the gap due a quick snack but I like something a bit more substantial

College Football is here!

Who do you all have between Nebraska and Illinois? Also, Hawaii and UCLA today!
Having to head to Gatlinburg, so recording both for tomorrow. I'm pulling for Nebraska and UCLA.

We need some P5 teams to step up and become something. SOMEBODY has to dethrone these deckwads at the top. If Nebraska could do it to OSU magically - GOOD. If UCLA gave the PAC a real contender - AWESOME.

And if anyone does it, they could give the rest of us a blueprint on how to do it. It's like the rest of us are the human nations trying to figure out how to defeat the aliens (Bama/OSU/Clemson).

Crouch was not one of our best LB. he just played because Pruitt wanted to stop the run at all costs. He was terrible. We brought in some good LB. brought in two good DBs. Chandler was average and we upgraded with Evans and Small. Palmer is a loss but we have plenty of WRs. Added Payton… You are only focusing on losses and not gains. Plus QB will be 100xs better.

Trenton is probably the best team Martin will face this year. There schedule looks to be super easy to me. Next week against Gibson County will be a blow out for Martin. I think Huntington and Ripley will be the hardest teams remaining on their schedule. After watching Ty play, I’m not convinced he will be great at bama. I’m terrible at evaluating players though because I was not impressed with Chad Clifton in high school and he played 9-10 seasons in the NFL. 🤷🏽‍♂️

He used to post here too! Well, not really...
