I think it’s just because we all know the era of free agency we live.

QBs leave when they get beat out for jobs and who could blame them?

it’s just the world of college football we live in. It would be an extreme longshot for him to ride this thing out past this fall
Ridiculous. He's got plenty of time, and he's finally being developed.

Anything close to 15-0 and it’s time to shut all the damn naysayers down.
Seriously, Tennessee football Thursday night for Pete’s sake. It’s time for everyone to be excited about the potential!

Awesome potential for this team, these coaches and this fanbase to celebrate an awesome season!
Careful! You may trigger a few lol.

RF, my mom needs you prayers. She was hospitalized yesterday with COVID. On a vent. She got sick 2 days after getting her first vaccination. She is my hero for all she sacrificed in raising me as a single parent. I am headed back on E-leave tomorrow from SW Asia. I pray she can see, hug and kiss her grandchildren again. My girls are what she lives for. She hasn't seen them in almost 3 mo.

Praying for you mom !

I honestly still don't see why the QB thing is such a point of debate. The guy with the record setting offenses, a national championship, and runner-up for the Heisman, evaluated the roster and for whatever reason determined that he wanted something more than what was there. He recruited another QB that he felt better meet the need. During practices and scrimmages he didn't see anything that changed his mind. Great. I think I would be more surprised if he recruited the new guy and then he didn't pan out.

Now why he determined that he didn't see what he wanted to see is a mystery to me, because to my untrained eye, HB looked pretty good. But that is key..."my untrained eye". Of course 8 seconds after Joe screws up, I'll be screaming for HB like everyone else. But for now, it seems prudent to at least give the coach with the consistent record of accomplishment the benefit of the doubt.
The back up QB is and will always remain undefeated…

I don't think HB is a bad QB, but I think it's ridiculous to say he hasn't been given a "fair shake". Why would Heupel not play the QB he thinks gives him the best chance to win? Heupel isn't Pruitt. Heupel has actually earned his stripes as an offensive guy. So why would he not take what he sees at practice and pick the guy that best runs the offense? It wouldn't make sense for him to say Milton's "his guy" if HB actually ran the offense better. I think that's just a ludicrous assertion.
Yep and JH has proven he will switch QBs if needed….. he brought in the Norte dame qb at UCF bc he didn’t want to start a true freshman…. That lasted about one half of football.

Ridiculous. He's got plenty of time, and he's finally being developed.

Sure he’s got plenty of time but when you see guys like Joe Burrow winning the biggest trophy in the land by transferring and you don’t even have to sit out there really isn’t any incentive to stay

He’s invested in Bailey and somehow thinks that suggesting Bailey needs more time is a knock on him. It’s not. No one said anything bad about him. Milton just brings a different element that Bailey can’t right now.
Yep…. For whatever reason a few posters seem emotionally tied to Bailey.

Yikes. Didn't realize you guys were missing so many pieces

It's been an ugly offseason from an injury perspective. Everything else was probably tolerable, but the loss of Pickens and Darnell Washington really hurts. JT Daniels was developing a good understanding with those guys; "in case of emergency, I'll throw it up and you haul it in". Plus, both had greatly improved their blocking skills.

Honestly, if I was in Vegas this weekend I'd bet against UGA. Clemson is gonna pin their ears back and attack the LOS repeatedly, against both run and pass, from multiple directions, and challenge Georgia to find an open receiver quickly and beat them through the air. That's what I'd do and I think it'll work. Fortunately we have a few easier games after that one, so hopefully they'll keep their chin up, get healthy and regroup.

Dude. Are you sure you are a UGA fan? You are far too rational and objective.

The $64k question is why Heupel went after Milton to start with, not why Milton was the choice coming out of camp. If we knew that, we'd know if this was a "not yet" vs "not ever" situation.

Also might have been as simple as we needed more depth and Milton was available. He might have felt that HB was just fine, we just needed another competent QB on the roster and he had no confidence in Maurer.

In the end, if we stand a chance of keeping @VolsDoc81TX from offing himself when we end up 14-1 following a loss in the playoffs, we will probably need great play out of all of our QBs. I for one am thrilled that QB1, QB2, and QB3 are all much better than Rogue 2.

Holy hell. All day with you people. Lol. I’m not saying under the new regime. He didn’t get a fair shake under the last regime. They barely practiced him and then thrust him into duty against some of our top teams (not Vandy). They never intended to play him and never really developed him at all. So when JH gets here, he has barely any reps and still needs a lot of development. Kid has talent and is a smart football player. JH knew he needed to groom our QBs and went and got Milton. Milton is his guy and has everything he wants in a QB. Hopefully, JH fixed a lot of Miltons flaws and he balls out this year. It gives Bailey a year to learn and grow and fight for the spot next year. I’m just pointing out to the people who say these coaching staffs don’t like Bailey or that he won’t ever play here could be way wrong. He didn’t get a fair shake under Pruitt and company because they royally sucked. And now he is essentially in his first year of real development. Can we move on now?

Host is a Florida grad, Mark Ryan. Also said (even after the grad transfer as QB1) that “USC can make a bowl because they have 3 guaranteed wins OOC, Tennessee and Vanderbilt are “easy wins” and then just beat someone theyre not supposed to”

Lazy analysis is lazy.

I'm a pretty bright guy but it has sounded to me like you were calling out Heupel for slighting HB. If that isn't the case, then yes, let's move on.

No. I’m literally not. Lol. You’re obviously team Milton only and only want to talk about him. See my point above in my last point. Sheesh. Literally stated ten times now that I’m excited for Milton and seeing what he does this year. I hope he is a baller and gets drafted in the first round. I root for every player unlike some I see… I don’t write off talented players early. Look at Burrell. Dude is gonna be good this year. Proud of him. And Christian Charles will be huge here.

CJH wanted Milton to be the guy, brought him in to be the guy and has been coaching him to be the guy. He likes Milton's upside and thinks he has the best skillset to run his offense. While the other QBs didn't beat Milton out in camp, they'll get PT because UT needs and wants to have quality backups invested and ready to play. That's why the other two QBs are still competing-- and not locked into that #2 and #3 thinking-- while the #4 guy was told exactly where he stood.
I'm ready to ride with Milton.

You seem emotionally tied to dogging him.
Not at at all…. I was a huge Bailey fan when I thought he was out only hope…. I just didn’t see JG, Maure, or Shrout being any good…. The only issue I have is people not believing he was given a fair chance…. He has not out performed the other QBs….. that is not just me saying it but also every report I have seen on the situation…. He was 3rd coming into the spring with no Joe Milton here and he remains 3rd on the depth chart…. If Joe and Hooker fail so that Bailey gets his shot…. I will become the biggest Bailey fan possible. I just want to win football games.
