Yeah, honestly this is Year 0 to most casual observers of our program. Expectations are ridiculously low and we have essentially no national buzz heading into the season. In that scenario, I think they made the right choice going with the QB that has the most upside.
Because they have blowing the Bailey sucks trumpet all year, and aren't going to stop now.Lol. He didn’t practice til game three. And then played Texas AM (#5), Florida (#6), and Auburn (#23). But let’s throw out a game because that helped his stats. Of course and every QB gets inflated stats from bad teams. Why are we giving Milton a huge pass for his stats and not Bailey when he didn’t even barely practice until being forced to play?
Way to put words in my mouth. Literally all I said was Milton was brought in to be JH’s guy and no other QB proved they could not make that happen. I defended Bailey because people were making it out like he is a bad QB, when he isn’t. LA Vol literally said the same things I said without so much context. I don’t care who starts, I want to win. I also said I’m excited to see Milton play and see how he has improved. But please spin the narrative, reading comprehension would be your friend.
There is a lot to criticize Butch for, but that game was mixed with player mistakes too. If any of these don’t happen, we probably win: Ellis dropped pass wide open, Hurd fumbled the ball 10 yards behind LOS on first down in OU territory after an INT, Medley missed FG, no pass interference (probably more officiating). I believe Curt Maggitt also got hurt in the first half and would have helped getting to Mayfield.
You should have watched his Sr year HS games..while under pressure a lot if times..against a great schedule..he threw beautiful dimes long, short and immediate in every freaking game. It seems I remember one game he struggled because he was getting chased all over the field and the other team was playing great defense. I can't remember which game it was, but I remember even in that game he made some beautiful throws and his recievers had some bad drops.Serious question, why did Bailey look so good stretching the field in the O&W game yet apparently can't hit water if he fell out of a boat down the field in practice. I rewatched it last night, he threw 4-5 DIMES in the spring game
Thank youI support everyone. I hope everyone does great things here. I guess if you are down the depth chart you find everything wrong with them and not focus on all the bad things starters do. Y’all want me to send Miltons down field passion percentage and overall stats? They weren’t very good. Doesn’t mean I don’t hope he is the next Cam Newton and lights it up. Milton won the job the day he walked on campus. Period. I know someone who speaks to DW, JH, and other coaches. He is on the sidelines almost every home game that he can be. He was in Fulmer's box for BYU and other games. Milton was QB1 the day he came here. But that doesn’t mean I can’t stick up for Bailey and say he hasn’t been given a fair shake and is judged to hard for playing in a terrible offense last year when he didn’t even get practice until into the season.
Prayers for healing and God's will for your Mom.RF, my mom needs you prayers. She was hospitalized yesterday with COVID. On a vent. She got sick 2 days after getting her first vaccination. She is my hero for all she sacrificed in raising me as a single parent. I am headed back on E-leave tomorrow from SW Asia. I pray she can see, hug and kiss her grandchildren again. My girls are what she lives for. She hasn't seen them in almost 3 mo.
@Glitch Jinxed myself this morning!! Our son got sent home today for exposure, along with 30 other kids and 4 other football players.
“Exposure” happened last Friday, so they all will be good to go by their game on Monday, just have to “miss” practice.
Yes I can. A cold dark wash cloth helps too… what’s the point of going to a game if I have to do that though? I’d rather just not go. Same reason I don’t go to concerts. I can’t enjoy myselfOnly 3% of people with epilepsy have photosensitive epilepsy. Those people can take medication that takes care of this completely and also like you said, yes they could close their eyes.
