I had a tundra and loved it. Will get one when I'm in the market. I have a company car now.
My Honda is essentially company car. We're Corporate, but might as well be 1099.

Tundra's are also super great, but, have become Cadillac's on 20 inch rims.

I'm curious how good the Honda Ridgelines are. I don't need a huge truck, but prefer a truck as my regular driver.

Had some issues at 150K. Obviously rust underneath. The drive shaft fell out. Called Subaru directly, said it wasnt a known defect but at the time there were no drive shafts for outbacks in US. I said 'so its an issue'.

They credited $300 off the repair.

Had the usual wheel bearings & head gasket issues with Boxer engine. Great cars, ive owned two now. Great daily driver. Not good to rack up miles, why I drive a Honda now.

Wife drives a Highlander...My next car will be a Toyota. I'm a Toyota nut.
Me too. Toyota is the way to go. But their commercials have gotten so stupid for so many years that I find myself disliking them now. So much so that I'm considering a Honda for my next car, after years of swearing I'd never buy anything but Toyota again. Advertising works, even in unintended ways I guess.

Same. Wife got a 2021 4Runner and I’ve got a Camry with 220k miles. It’s time to get a new vehicle. Im not a big car guy. I like to buy something and drive it til the doors fall off. Im torn between the Tacoma/Tunda (which was my plan) but now I really like the Ram 1500s

Honda's are ok. But, seeing the soccer mom's routinely cut me off every day ... i'm out.

Toyota for sure.

Nissan is junk, fortunately their commercials are even worse.

Dodge seems to fall apart after 5 years.

Tacos are now $50K and Tundy's $60-70. Crazy. I looked at a 2019 Taco was still $40

Love mine. Just bought my 3rd one. Wanted to get one more with a 5.7L before they changed them for 2022.
My company truck is a Silverado with 25,000 miles and I’m thinking the transmission will be gone soon and I haven’t towed/hauled anything with it.. not a fan of this truck

I’ve had 2 gm trucks. One the dash cracked and lifters ticked at 40k miles, the other had electrical and transmission issues.

Have a nissan now. Can confirm junk status. The dashboard literally evaporates and sticks to the windshield so you can't see and you can't clean it off. Among lots of other things that suck about it.

Toyota Sienna is THE soccer mom vehicle, but my main complaint with Honda from last time I drove one was the road noise. I'll probably go with Toyota but man they make it difficult.

What happens to your EV when the grid goes down? The same people who destroyed the nuclear program are taking down hydrocarbons and selling windmills and acreage of solar panels that will never supply enough power. Do you not think they will game the public by messing with the grid? Better have your tri and dual fuel generators handy.

It's like football. When you take away viable player options in exchange for ideas and schemes - you get theory that leads to losses when injuries and player/coach defections occur. It's happening in front of our eyes with the depleted roster this season. Great schemes and development of an increasingly smaller number of players. The remaining players get used more and it wears them down and injuries increase. Less wins.

Same with energy. One "answer" to all of our energy demands being met is a bad thing because of potentially bad actors controlling it.

I get your point but if the grid goes down, you're not getting fuel either.
Even bio fuels and natural gas are still "plugged in" along the refining process.

I'm nervous period about how reliant we are on a functioning internet and grid. The advancements in both far outpaced the advancements in securing them.

I’m not sure if that would work in America…. The majority of people with longer than average driveways…. Drive to end of it just to check the mail. LOL
You're thinking of rural America. I wasn't talking about rural America as if you're living in the boonies you're living a certain way of life, which you've rightly pointed out just wouldn't jive with the picture I've laid out. I'm talking about urban/suburban areas, covered in parking lots and roads that make walking simple, easy distances a chore. I could give local examples if you were familiar with Chattanooga
