My company truck is a Silverado with 25,000 miles and I’m thinking the transmission will be gone soon and I haven’t towed/hauled anything with it.. not a fan of this truck
I've got a 21 Sierra for my company truck with 10k... Transmission starting to shift real hard..
I haven't hauled or towed anything either.

Good news, it's the company's truck.

Otherwise,I really like mine.

It's not dumb, strictly from the standpoint of our situation concerning depth. Even with the portal adds we've made, and will make, it's gonna take time to really get it where you want it.

I've been saying 'get to year 3 & 4 and see what it looks like' for that reason.

That doesn't mean we're a .500 team till then or anything. Doesn't mean we can't/shouldn't win a game, or two, we aren't expected to.

But to get back to realistically, consistently competing for the division... Yeah, that will take a little time.

Yeah, so many factors into fixing the depth. I mean if Heupel & staff can "plug the holes" on unnatural attrition that'd be a huge help. And unnatural attrition is transfer portal, medical retirement issues (seemed to be a big issue with Butch & Pruitt specifically), and leaving early for the draft to be undrafted (Bryce, North, etc.). It's a big ask and I doubt they can fully eliminate that sort of attrition but it would be a major step to helping sustain success here.

I think this staff will do a better job with the medical retirement stuff just from having better relationships with the schools when they are recruiting and doing better evaluations than the "star chasers" of the previous two staffs did.

And I think culture helps with the other two issues. You're going to have kids that just want to move on, either to try it in the NFL or to other schools for more PT. Just gotta try and keep those numbers down.

Honda's are ok. But, seeing the soccer mom's routinely cut me off every day ... i'm out.

Toyota for sure.

Nissan is junk, fortunately their commercials are even worse.
Nissan trucks are far from junk. I've owned a few Titans (upgrading models) and have had zero issues. The Frontier is also very reliable, although extremely outdated until the newest model. Their cheaper vehicles and some of the older CVT transmissions are junk. The Murano has been good despite the CVT and the non-CVT Pathfinders are really good. I'm a truck guy and would only buy a Titan or Tundra. Had a 2015 Tundra Crewmax TRD 4x4 that was a great truck, but I prefer how Titans drive compared to Tundras...so I went back to the Titan. Very happy with my 2021 Titan Pro-4x. Absolutely not junk.

Yep. I mean we lost 30 players in one shot.

Right now we couldn't replace that with a full class.

And it's not like we won't lose players this year, or going forward either.

So, yeah... Is gonna take some time. We can maybe shorten that with some timely, 'can't miss' transfers that contribute immediately.. But you wind up having to replace those guys relatively quickly too I'm a lot of cases.

It's like taking out a loan to pay off a credit card it seems like lol.

Which in some cases, that may be the right/smart thing to do. You still have to pay off something either way.

I have bought 6 Nissans and loved them all, especially my 2009 Murano I got for half price in 2011 with only 25k miles. Never have had any issues and my Murano saved my life when I got clipped on the interstate at 90mph by west town mall. Ended up t-boning a semi....luckily I hit the center wheels and got thrown across 4-5 lines and slammed into the concrete divider facing oncoming traffic.
I bet you threw that underwear away.

So I just finished a shower trying to cleanse myself from watching a game with the Braves participating and hoping they’d win, because the Astros can go to hell.

It’s crazy, but it’s almost like they have a hard time getting hits in the World Series when they don’t know what pitch is coming. F#%!ing cheaters.

My parents bought 2 brand new Altimas, both transmissions died before 80k. There have been multiple class action lawsuits against Nissan for their cars falling apart before 100k. Nissans are absolutely junk, you just got lucky.

I have been reading about the transfers we had and how it effected this team.............in more ways than one it made it better. We lost some valuable players without a doubt but we also lost a lot of bad attitude in the process.

I've never went to a practice, don't know a player on the team or have a insider with info of the comings and goings of daily activity but I do watch and I see how this team plays and acts and it's just different. They seem to really care about the team and they seem to have bought in to the systems. I'm not sure that could have full happened as quick as it has if the baggage of some was still hanging around.

Honestly I don't see any value in the 25 class limit.

If you're capped at 85...then it's not like Bama/Georgia can just sign 35 or 40 kids every season. And even if they do they have to do so because of attrition to the 85, which would mean bodies in the transfer portal so even a school like say Memphis who can't get top level guys to push the 25 could take in some transfers leaving the bigger P5 schools.

And if everyone is limited by the total 85 cap then I feel like it'd work itself out. I don't get how it "helps" exactly.

As I said, the older CVT transmissions are junk. That has nothing to do with their trucks, some of their SUVs, or the Z cars. I've owned 7 Nissan trucks, a 350z, and a 370z. My wife has had an Infiniti QX70, and two non-CVT Pathfinders. Zero issues. That isn't luck. Had we needed a car and Nissan only offered something with a CVT...then we wouldn't buy it.
