Do referee crews ever actually practice/train together on the field? I am sure they go to all kinds of "professional development" seminars and stuff like to necessary training sites like Boca Raton or Las Vegas, but do they actually train together? Do they work on things like who has what responsibility on different types of plays. I am almost certain that the answer to this is no. If they were full time, they would have time to do that. Being parttime and coming together the night before the game is what has gotten into this crapshow already.

"probably be ugly" is probably a little strong. How many of us thought Hooker would be at this level not even two months ago? Heup will have somebody ready.
Milton sucks. And I'm not going to expect much from a true FR in the SEC if it's Jackson. Maybe we do end up with a big time transfer but I'll hold my breath on that one. And then we will still be a down a few schollies so that hurts as well.

Yeah but one player doesn’t “shake” up recruiting. I’m excited if we get Dallan, but don’t say something like that unless we’re about to actually shake things up lol

Last time we shook things up, we got Jerrod Means
FLIPPING Hayden from Ohio St should at least count as stirring.

I just think saying it will probably be ugly based upon one player leaving who most of us thought was third string after the Spring game is way over the top. We may struggle, but with the transfer portal, projecting year to year is going to get more and more challenging.

Fully confident other QB’s have noted HH’s growth and would explore transferring if HH decides to enter the draft. CJH results speak for themselves and he will get a good QB from the portal.

So, if Hooker doesnt come backk next year will probably be ugly, this is starting to look more like a 4ish maybe 5 year rebuild that was originally thought.
This was always going to take 4-5 years for our roster to look more complete. The base level expectation for every Tennessee fan right now should be to beat the teams whom we have a talent advantage over (Mizzou, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt). Any expectation over that is ridiculous with this roster.

*raises hand*

I also mentioned him getting draft graded after this season and everyone thought I was crazy, now Mel Kiper has him as the 8th overall and suddenly it's a possibility.

exactly this

get HH to come back, bring in jackson, find a transfer if you have to for solid depth.

Kids will want to be in an offense like this. It'll all work out. Just trust Heupel folks. The guy is a QB himself and hes not going to let that room be bare bones.

You mean 8th QB? I haven’t seen Kiper’s mock but there’s no way he’s the 8th overall player, right?

I like the kid but transferring in middle of season where you get extra year of elg, are a true frosh essentially, and get a RS year, while your teammates need you, is selfish and dumb.
That's a pretty stuff judgment to make when you have 1% of the data he has. Maybe coaches told him he doesn't fit their style? Maybe coaches told him he's not even 3rd string and he'd be wise to look around? And why is it selfish and dumb to want to actually play? It's pretty clear he's not going to play here anytime soon of ever, I'd think he was dumb of he didn't look elsewhere if actually playing football was his goal.

in the middle of a season?! 🤔 as Ive said, I think he needs to transfer, the rub was timing

Just my take on it is, if the QB next year was on the roster this year things might look a little better than they do.

The QB situation is gonna be difficult for every team to manage moving forward bc of the portal.

Heard Luginbill on the radio last night and he was saying how it’s gonna be almost impossible to keep multiple QBs on scholarship every year. Also talked about how a lot of coaches are being careful on accepting commits bc they want to work the portal.

A little different…actually, a lot different. Henry was a starter here.. probably our best defensive player.. Harrison can’t get on the field
It is different in that respect. I don't have a problem with him leaving in general. I have a big problem with him leaving in the middle of the season.

Our guys loving on traitor Toot aren’t going to want to bury HB for transferring bc he didn’t have playing time here

Camp Davis here.
Not usually my thing but a starter,. Alabama?!? Same for anyone that would make it personal.
Yeah, we have guys that have been through a lot of crap at TN, hasn't been what it should've.
But we also have those that bleed orange with every fiber of their being..
