I can’t ever remember a guy on our bench that was a stud and ready to go in if he was hurt even during the 90’s we usually had the starter….. talented real young player….. journeymen type QB in between.

I don't get why he is trying to sale us on the recruits going somewhere else. Are we supposed to put pressure on the coaches to get them at all cost? Are we supposed to be heartbroken that the only good players in the US are not coming to Tennessee? What exactly are we supposed to do?

I have no issue with him bragging on the kids but it always has a "look what I did" vibe. It also seems to usually be kids going to other schools....can't remember any cases of him hyping NPA kids coming to UT.

De1 is to NPA like Butch was to Saban. He does all the washing and cleaning then gets on here and says I helped train these kids. They sell these kids to the highest bidder and he gets his $20-$30 and they send him on his way.

Well if you are on the west end of the state and could pick up. I’d sell what I have currently for $2 a pound. When I get sophisticated and get some custom packaging I plan on starting at $5 per pound.

So if HB went to Bama and was protected by the best OL in the country, while throwing to the fastest most talented WRs in the country, he would be expected to perform equally well as behind our tissue paper OL and average WRs?

I agree, that if all things are equal, and Heupel was not able to get the same results with the same roster against the same competition as another coach, then yes, he deserves criticism. You'll never get that situation though, and as such you really can't draw parallels between HB's performance here and elsewhere.

OMG...whatever..you picked the extreme example, and you surely hope that we will not have a "tissue paper O-line" for the next four years..
