I never said it would make him a bad coach, nor do I believe anything of the sort, but if he goes elsewhere and plays great, then he could have for us...good QBs don't grow on trees and it would be grounds for legitimate criticism.

It is a hypothetical anyway, so it doesn't matter until/unless it happens, and no matter how good a coach you are you can make mistakes. I already said however that I believe Heupel is probably right due to his experience and that Bailey just isn't good enough to ever play for us.

So if HB went to Bama and was protected by the best OL in the country, while throwing to the fastest most talented WRs in the country, he would be expected to perform equally well as behind our tissue paper OL and average WRs?

I agree, that if all things are equal, and Heupel was not able to get the same results with the same roster against the same competition as another coach, then yes, he deserves criticism. You'll never get that situation though, and as such you really can't draw parallels between HB's performance here and elsewhere.

Yes Simpson does play 2A ball. With that said he is putting up stupid numbers against his competition. They have lost 1 game this season and thats to the defending state champ peaybody. Im taking Simpson over Jackson everyday.
You also said that Milton had no other choice than to go out of bounds, so….

There’s a kid here local, yes kid, sub 30 and trust fund baby, he’s a teacher and has a Huracan. His dd is a full size Range Rover supercharged. He’s a total choch!! Lol
Ever been to Asheville? The 'starving' kids from ASU, who's parents have homes at Grandfather Mtn, come there to work service jobs and shoot drugs.

'Save the whales' on $90,000.00 Mercedes SUV.

Eleven pages behind so I’ll just clear my thoughts on HB and move on…

He seems to have been a great teammate. Based on what I have seen in games and the lack of buzz in practice, I don’t think he will be successful at the SEC level. There is nothing personal to that… it’s an evaluation based on what little I’ve seen and heard.

I have no issues with a non-playing player transferring to get playing time. With HB being two injury plays away from playing however, I strongly dislike his timing with apparently nothing to gain by ditching his team mid season. He was part of this team and we were depending on him to be ready when his number was called, should he be needed. Now, we are in a very vulnerable position.

Not a great move on his part as far as perception goes, but I don’t wish ill on him either

I’m not sure how anyone, other than a college coach, can really say this, but it doesn’t really matter. There are a vast number of kids that dominate high school ball that don’t make it in college.

Lol. Dude won the 7A championship in Georgia that’s bigger wins than beating Mizzu and South Carolina.

I think QB is the toughest position to project from one level, to the next. You never really know till the lights are on.

I mean, somebody thought Ryan leaf was a sure thing, and a lot of people, including the team that drafted him, didn't think Tom Brady was.

And there's been a litany of 5* all everything guys flamed out big time in college.

So all the 'absolutes'that get thrown around when discussing QB's and how they project is generally laughable, imo.

combination of swype and laziness

Apparently after losing capitalization, then spelling begins to get iffy and partial sentences appear.

I am getting concerned about you. Please run to the nearest ER screaming that you can’t capitalize, spell or complete a sentence due to the Covid vaccine booster! I mean really run the entire way, waving your arms and screaming the whole time. 😁
