We will go 6-6 this year and probably around that mark next year with Hendon Hooker. Bailey will transfer, take over the reins wherever that may be and win the conference. While we have a dynamic offense that puts up great #’s against the bottom of the barrel teams.
Sounds like you should follow HB wherever he goes.

What?!?! We have an easy road to seven wins at minimum next year. Please do us all a favor and take a break from this site for a while.

Kentucky is a team that if we come out blazing and on fire like we did against Missouri & South Carolina it'll be a game they aren't equipped to win.

If we don't come out like that (Ole Miss, Pitt, Bama, UF) then we risk our defense fading before we can close the gap.

One thing we've not seen from this team yet is the ability to comeback on teams. Pitt outscored us 27-20 in the first half and we never could overcome it. Florida was up on us 17-14, but then stretched it out in the 3rd quarter and we didn't have the answer to close the gap again. Ole Miss got up 24-12 going into half and despite us shutting them down in the 2nd half it was too big of a lead to overcome.

So from the "realist" standpoint that's the one area it'd be nice to see improvement. Hopefully we can just gas Kentucky, but maybe against Georgia the ability to rally from behind and win an upset could be major for this squad and momentum for staff moving forward.

Yep. We'll just have to agree on our love for the Vols and move along.

MaxPreps named the greatest High School players from each state (based on their Professional career)

kinda sad for TN.

QB: Chad Pennington
RB: Reggie Cobb
WR: Golden Tate
DL: Reggie White
LB: Patrick Willis
DB: Harrison Smith

Thoughts?

If we are only using one all-time D-lineman then Reggie is the pick, but if we are building an all-time defensive line from Tennessee high school players, Doug Atkins has to be on it.

I just stumbled across this article. Didn't even see the writer until I read it all. Pretty darn interesting.

Yep.

My sense of Butch was, he knew how to check off the boxes, but he did not grasp, or does not grasp, how to take all of those boxes and assembling them and organizing them into a broad strategic plan.

And I agree with this on Heupel…

I know coaches don’t believe in moral victories, but I believe in moral victories when you are rebuilding a company or when you are rebuilding a football team. The tangible victories, the big product sale, or the big win over Alabama, those don’t come very easily, but if you could get the psychology of the organization moving in the right direction, you have people bought in, like I think Heupel does, the product results are going to come.

Ughhh you are talking about teams with Heisman QBs and great offenses. Kentucky offense is average at best. Their defense keeps them in games. Even if we start slow, their offense does not scare me at all.
