So I may be alone in this opinion, but if you are drunk and pick up a gun or pick up a knife and kill someone, I believe that you would go to jail for much longer…

Why isn’t the penalty much worse for using a 3k pound bludgeon to kill someone? What if you’re drunk and kill someone with a sledgehammer or baseball bat?

With all the PSAs about not drinking and driving, I think that drunk vehicular homicide is closer to premeditated than accidental.

One of the burn injury surgeons at Parkland hospital was going in to save someone’s life when his was ended by a drunk driver. That drunk robbed the world of a phenomenal person who had saved hundreds if not thousands of lives that would have been lost due to their burn related injuries. How many more people could he have saved? All because some guy was still drunk at 7AM on a Sunday and ran a stop sign. 😐

End rant.
I had two cousins in their 30s killed by a drunk driver who ran a stop sign. One happened in Tennessee, and one in NJ. I probably should not get in on this.

Here is a ledge just a couple hundred feet from Taft Point...I have a pic of me and my wife standing (actually got one of us sitting with our legs hanging down here too, or maybe on another one of these overhanging ledges..I can't rememberfor sure, there are several that jut out down the edge and they are all pretty much the same) this spot that my daughter took..

That rock looks like a beaver face lol. 🦫

That's incredible. I sat on the edge of McAfee Knob. Couldn't see anything but the tops of trees hanging onto the cliff because of the cloud. At the parking area it was raining, halfway it started sleeting, at the knob it was snowing. Very memorable hike.

I’d been crying uncontrollably, then fainted and been falling by the time when the picture was taken.

Lol...my wife made me sit down so we could sit with our legs hanging over that abyss so my daughter could take a pic of us...

If I wasn't paranoid about my anonymity and privacy I would post that one and the selfie she took from behind us looking down...gives me the anxieties just remembering it..😳

I am not afraid of heights, but that made me woozily vertigoey..🤯

I just have never wanted to let fear beat me..lol.
Nope, fear can win this one. Didn’t even like reading that. No picture needed.

And that’s a tapir face 😂

They joke, but this seems like a foolproof way to catch Big Foot.

I was home on leave and visited my uncle one hour before he got a call to pick up my addicted ne’er de well cousin. A drunk driver passed the car right behind the my uncle on his way back and plowed into him. The police smelled alcohol in the cab (from my cousin…Uncle Ronald was a widowed teetotaler) and said he was at fault. Azzhole got away with it. He was related to the police chief. Wrote my cousins off for a long time.

Back when I was single, went to a dance club with my nephew and his buddies. I drove to the club. Drank way too much. Decided that it was time to leave, instead of driving, I decided to walk. I was in town and staying at my Mom’s house. My drunk brain thought that I was only a mile away so I walked.
And I walked. And I walked. And I walked. (Translation drunken stagger) I got really tired, so I climbed under a hedge between two houses and slept for a little…then got up and walked some more. I even hugged the streetlight that my Dad knocked down and told it that it was safe. Finally made it safely to my Mom’s house.

The next day, I hitched a ride to my car. The club was a little over 5 miles from my Mom’s house. 😂
This past Saturday the Uber app was down, so Lyft was overwhelmed. I was too drunk to scooter, so I had walked 6 miles before a Lyft connected with me. Only had 2.5 miles left to get home🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ My calves are still super sore

Yeah, I’m not a nascar guy, but I gained a new appreciation for these drivers going traveling in the high-hundreds mph, with walls and other cars inches from them on every side and, due to the safety constraints in place, essentially zero peripheral vision.
That's why they have spotters talking to them constantly

I called 3. All said “we don’t have anything in your area.” I said I’m in east Nashville How the hell do you not. Immediate hang ups each time
I remember having been to Blind Tiger then to Griffon in Chaz, then walking back to King. My buddy and his 'friend girl' got into some weird passive aggressive shouting match. 🤦🏼‍♂️ I got mad at them both and left.

Wound up finding some 'seedy' hotel to stay in. Turns out it was $200 a night place. Basically paid $200 to sleep in. Was lucky had a my Motorola V3M.
