You are correct. He does deserve to go to jail. He deserves to be punished. He would no matter how fancy his car was. Has anyone said he did not deserve to go to jail?
People keep talking about forgiveness. What kind of forgiveness do you want? We know Jesus will forgive if Ruggs is sincere in his asking. Whether or not those who were robbed of their loved one forgive is entirely up to them. They might, they might not. They're entitled to their feelings. People speculating on if they would be able to forgive or not IF they were put in that position are entitled to their feelings as well. If Ruggs is truly sorry for what he has done, then the hardest forgiveness will be forgiving himself.

An update on the chronicles of my big toe, I went to the doctor today. Spiral fracture. Saw an orthopedist and they put me in a walking boot to be safe. Have to go back next week. If not for the fact I'm a diabetic, I'd have just let it be, but when you are diabetic, they emphasize taking care of your feet. Bad things can happens, and you can lose your feet if you're not careful.

Thank you for getting it checked out. I am glad you did. Spiral fracture can get much worse if not treated. With you being diabetic, it could be even worse.

Forgiveness of sins doesn't eliminate the consequences of sin. I do hope he finds that forgiveness cause that's about the only way he is going to be able to handle what;s coming the rest of his life.

Agree. I think that would be a pill to swallow for me if it happened to someone I love. Then it would all fall back on me about forgiving to be forgiven. People do devastating things and will continue to do them as long as the earth remains. Wish we weren’t even talking about this, the poor family’s heartache. Breaks my heart for them.

Real simple: if Henry T or Eric Gray and Wanya Morris took money or benefits, and are now playing on a team that could potentially play for a national title, while Theo Jackson and Hendon Hooker and Matthew Butler et al didn't receive a nickle in extra benefits, but cannot play in a bowl game because of what players, who are getting ready to not only play in a bowl game, but the national championship, did...in what world is that even remotely fair?!?! How can players like Jackson, Hooker, and Butler be punished for things that Henry T, Gray, and Morris did; and, not only are Henry T, Gray, and Morris not being punished AT ALL, they seem to be going on to benefit further from it by being able to transfer to programs that will be playing for conference and national championships! Again, in what world is that even close to fair???

I'm saying, and have been saying...if NCAA burns us, I'd go down in a freaking blaze of glory, and expose everything, anything, some things, ALL of the things that I know on everyone else. I'd do anything I could to burn everything to the ground; then id take my university, my programs, my fan base, and my vast amounts of resources elsewhere.

Obviously we have 2 entirely different definitions of the word attack.
Here is the difference between me and the others that feel the way I do..and the guys that feel like you do.

You guys empathize with the drunk killers for various reasons that basically boil down to "hey we have all made mistakes, it could have happened to me" ..you see things from that perspective.

I empathize with the innocent dead and their family and friends, I can feel the anger bubble up because I can imagine how that girls parents feel...I imagine my daughters dead eyes and bloody mangled body and all thoughts of care for the killer disappear and all that is left is pure fury.

I hope nothing like this ever happens to my family...I don't want to be tried with this one.

I am not the bad guy...

I would love for you to show where I have empathized with drunk killers. I hope neither situation happens to your family or anyone else’s.
