Can't tell if serious. Unless you're a youngster. Don't mean that in a mean way, but maybe you don't know their atrocious history:

UK football had 2 10-win seasons EVER...in 100+ years of playing football, before he came. He's already gotten them another with at least 9 wins likely this season.

And you can't seriously judge him in the same way at UK (regarding LSU expectations) without the highly important context of what a shizhole he's at. It's like James Franklin at Vandy or Saban at MSU. Give him top-10 talent instead of top-35 talent and it'd be intriguing. Not saying he'd absolutely kill it (or maybe he would) - but he could be pretty dang good there. Especially with his now evolving offense - he could give the West some problems iyam.

And UK would fall right back to complete and utter irrelevance. They just finished 2nd in the East...unheard of. As a UT fan, we should all be very happy if he bolts. I'm tired of these close ones...ready to start WHIPPING them like the old days. This would just accelerate that inevitably.
He’s 2-7 against us. And that’s during the worst stretch of Tenn football. We’ve always had close games against them, but we always beat them. Even during the Manning and Ainge days we had close games. Stoops at Kentucky or LSU just doesn’t scare me.

Yeah I do a fair bit of math similarly (more with multiplication, but sometimes with subtraction). Breaking things down to the nearest ten can definitely make it easier in your head, at times, imo. In the end, it's just another tool for people that think in that way. Not a necessity, but an optional tool.

I just find it weird how opposed so many adults are...when we are awful at math as a country...which is maybe why they're so against it 😄 Maybe it isn't such a bad thing...we can't be much worse in the area.

But overall the best thing I've seen them teach are things like "reasonableness tests". It can be amazing (especially saw when I used to work at a bank) how adults can spit out completely absurd mathematical output and just not think "hmm that doesn't make any reasonable sense at all". I'm glad this generation is at least being taught to look at things a bit more conceptually and ask if the output makes any sense at all, rather than just going along with the "output"...GIGO after all.
Your reasoning is off, I think. The reason america as a whole is bad at math isn't because we weren't taught a certain technique or because of pedagogy, it's because culturally we don't care about education like countries who are better at math. Changing the technique of math to something no parent understands makes the root issue worse, because the root issue is that parents of kids don't emphasize the importance of education and participate with them in learning. The average parent now just says "this is stupid math, your teachers are ridiculous, this is so dumb, etc...," further worsening the problem.

Japanese aren't elite at math because they know secret ways of teaching it, it's because culturally there is literally nothing more important for kids than education. They'd be elite at math using any teaching method in that environment.

It's like they read an outline and changed the fine details
Like what? No characters or major themes have been altered as far as I can tell, not yet anyway. No critical plot lines have been altered.

Edit its been a few years since I read them, so I could be wrong.

Who? I mean perrin killing a wife he never had in the books, sure, but he had accidentally hurt loved ones in the past, so the end result is the same that he's now insecure about his strength and is now deliberate about everything. His character is no different now than in the books.

Happy day before gun season, Just pulled into Decatur County from Fl. Going to be a great week in the woods!! Good luck to everyone that hunts and stay safe. Hopefully will be posting a pic of a stud I’ve been watching on camera. Good Luck bassmaster_vol and TNHunter
Good luck to you.

It changes how he is who he is. He's not slow and deliberate because he's always had to be. He's not a blacksmith his wife is. He has no mentor to lean on. He wouldn't hurt a fly at this point and wouldn't of pulled a Mist.

Since Fulmer, you could say our 1st year HCs have been giving us all increasing BVS. One of the best indicators of true success - not just beating up on FCS teams - is how you do in-conference.

Kiffin had a pretty strong Y1, with a positive scoring margin (+3 ppg), though ofc with a good base of Fulmer talent. Then came Dooley - a decent year as well...(-3 ppg). Then we went off the rails... Butch (-12.6 ppg)...not good. Not to be outdone, in came cornbread (-15.6 ppg). It would be hard to blame anyone expecting more downward spiral...after all this is Tennessee...where we've come to expect 5 win first seasons loaded with 20+ point blowouts to most of the league...even Vandy (special thanks to Cornbread for that added BVS factor).

But Heupel wasn't having any of that. With an easy expected victory of 30-40+ pts over Vandy, Heuepl will be both in the positive and likely outdoing Kiffin as well.

Certainly a factor, that could go for all areas I suppose, though we seem particularly worse at math.

Regardless, I think they're good ideas that embrace thinking rationally and thoughtfully. If parents don't care enough to understand it themselves, then yes that's a big cultural issue for sure too.

Yeah he seems to do very well with both sides of the line. Seems they always have a tough back as well.

Webb is playing them above, what I believe is, more talented guys. Rewarding them for their time at UT. He didn't recruit the current seniors. Wolcott has taken a big step back this year. He took the extra year due to covid. We have some very highly rated freshmen and sophomores.
Why would he intentionally play less talented guys? Choosing a 5 man golf team is pretty straight forward. You have pre qualifying rounds and take the guys that with the lowest scores.
