There isn't even a Target in Oxford. C'mon--you are living in the William Faulkner era. Ha.

If I’m being honest, I’ve never been to Oxford, but Miami is not a nice place. The city is a mess. The beach is barely safe during the day now. Ocean and Collins are nothing like they used to be. The university is beautiful. But, the stadium is so separate from the school, that the students barely attend.

Not trying to get personal, but curious. I know you live in VR but what brought you here? For me I was transferred from Loudon, TN about 14 years ago to our Atlanta hub. We moved to VR simply because it was a easy commute to Austell for me but kept the kids out of the city for school. How did you get to VR Mirror Lake?

3 schools from Carter County made it to the State Semis yesterday. Congrats to those boys. 1 of which is my alma mater.

I don’t live in VR Mirror Lake but I spent several hours there this evening. Was at the Publix shopping tonight also. My wife and I got married while we lived in SC, but she had family who live here and I found a job here I liked a lot so we moved. Was a good halfway point between where my parents are in TN and where her parents live

Where did you used to live in SC? This is one of the reasons I took the job where we are in Newnan…great position between our 2 families in TN and SC.

My moms family is from Douglas and Carroll Co. They were some of the first settlers in that area.

My dads side is all up here. He’s the only one that left the area . Settled with work in freakin Fl. Oh well. I love it up here though. Do a lot of hunting here and a bunch here go to Colorado elk huntin.

I lived there until I was 26 when I left for the Air Force. My entire family still lives there and now that I live in Ohio I can make it back once in a while to visit. I usually come in during the spring or summer when the Dairy Bar is open haha. Happy hunting!

Don’t live there now, but grew up in Carrollton. Not a ton of West Ga Vols from my experience.

eh I watched the first two episodes last night and I enjoyed it enough. It’s not the best thing ever but I’ll definitely finish the series
